Apparition of Stone
I set these stones
upon my head.
My saliva tastes like sugar sweet.
I am here
in the rain for you.
I set these stones
upon my head.
I bite my lip,
and smile as you disappear.

I thought you
were real.
My hands meet the wet watery dirt.
I am all alone
in the rain.
I thought you
were real.
I cut my foot on a stone,
and you dance like a vapor.

You are a guarded ghost.
You are a vision
that I cannot see.
I come here for you
to set these stones upon my head.
I cannot yet stand,
and I lay here fading into steam.

I set my eyes
upon your skin.
I am melting in the rain.
I am the sugar in your tea.
I am the salt in your ocean.
I hold these stones
upon my head.
I feel the weight of leaving you,
and I smile as you disappear.
