WWWA World Championship: Dynamite Kansai (champion) vs Manami Toyota (challenger) 12/10/95
This was the type of match that you would expect from these two given the occasion. Toyota has had better matches in terms of execution, while Kansai was at the top of her game here. Toyota started out with a dropkick to Kansai's right arm and another that knocked Kansai out of the ring. Toyota went for a springboard plancha but flew into a Kansai kick outside the ring. Kansai gave Toyota a stiff kick and a back suplex for a near fall. Kansai dominated Toyota for a stretch and gave her a lariat for a near fall. Toyota came back with a German suplex on Kansai for a near fall. Toyota dropkicked Kansai twice but then ran into a lariat. Kansai gave Toyota a powerbomb for a near fall as the crowd heat picked up. Kansai stiffed Toyota in the face with a kick. Toyota surprised Kansai with a springboard sunset flip for a cool near fall. Toyota went for a moonsault but Kansai cut her off. Toyota then kicked Kansai, sending her off the top rope to the floor. Toyota then hit her top rope missile dropkick to the floor. Toyota gained a near fall on Kansai with a pair of moonsaults. Kansai back suplexed Toyota for a near fall. Kansai went for a top rope splash mountain but Toyota countered and gave her a top rope missile dropkick for a near fall. Toyota gained a near fall with a German suplex and a dramatic near fall with her ocean cyclone suplex. Toyota went for another ocean cyclone suplex but Kansai blocked it and kicked her a few times. Kansai gave Toyota a splash mountain for a great near fall. Kansai gave Toyota another series of stiff kicks and went for a splash mountain but Toyota countered with a huracanrana and pinned Kansai at 25:10 to regain the title. The finish wasn't done that well, but was passable enough to work. Fans went nuts for the title change. ****1/2
