WWF RAW IS WAR REPORT FOR
February 7, 2000

LOCATION: Dallas, TX Reunion Arena
ATTENDANCE: 14,000 approx. (sellout)

-The events surrounding DX vs The Radicals from Smackdown were recapped.

-X-Pac and Tori came out. The Radicals then came out and appeared to be saying their godbyes to WWF fans. Cactus Jack then arrived, followed by HHH and Stephanie McMahon-Helmsley. HHH challenged Cactus to a match at No Way Out for the title, and said that Cactus could have any match. Cactus chose the hell in a cell match, and HHH accepted only on the grounds that Cactus would put is career on the line. HHH and X-Pac approached the ring and said the Radicals should show their appreciation to the man...who just gave them ther contracts. Radicals then ganged up on Cactus Jack, climaxing with Beniot's diving headbutt.

-After a commercial, the previous angle was recapped.

-DX and the Radicals had a pep talk in the locker room and came up with the match of HHH, X-Pac and the Radicals vs Cactus and whoever he could find as partners.

-Match 1 (WWF tag team title): New Age Outlaws (champions) vs Edge & Christian (challengers)
Dudleys came out and joined the announcers. Road Dogg pinned Christian after a pumphandle slam. D-Von Dudley interfered as Buh Buh Ray got in Jim Ross's face. Edge then fought with the Dudleys. This was a very good match and the best I've seen the Outlaws look in a while.

-Mark Henry pleaded with Mae Young to take it easy because of her pregnancy.

-Match 2: Kurt Angle vs Mark Henry
Angle chided Henry for his relationship with Young. Young came out and "attacked" Angle, who suplexed her in return. Mae took it perfectly as well, and its amazing she was able to withstand the impact at age 77.

-Backstage, paramedics and Henry tended to Young, who woke up, went nuts, and showed the medics her puppies (thank God her back was to the camera!).

-The Hollys talked about facing the Acolytes.

-Match 3 (hardcore match): Hollys vs Acolytes
Viscera hit Bradshaw with a 2 X 4, but tripped in the process! Hardcore Holly pinned Bradshaw.

-Match 4 (Intercontinental title): Chris Jericho (champion) vs Viscera (challenger)
Hollys ran in for the DQ. Acolytes then attacked Viscera. This was not a bad match.

-The Radicals were talking backstage.

-The opening angle of the show was recapped.

-Michael Cole interviewed the Radicals, who expressed no remorse over their actions. Malenko was funny as a smug character.

-Luna yelled at Gangrel about her match with Jacqueline.

-Match 5 (Women's title): Jacqueline (champion) vs Luna (challenger, w/Gangrel)
Jacqueline won with a German suplex. Gangrel gave Jackie his impailer DDT after the match.

-A Tazz music video aired. This was a cool piece that successfully got across his character.

-Kevin Kelly interviewed The Rock. Rock gave KK a poon-tang pie T-shirt and put it over his head. Rock said he would team with Cactus later on.

-Match 6: Godfather & D-LO Brown (w/ 6 ho's) vs Dudleys
The match itself was nothing special. D-Von pinned D-Lo after 3-D. D-Von then grabbed BBand Buh Buh Ray was going to powerbomb her through a table on the outside when Edge, Christian and the Hardys made the save.

-Footage of the Steve Austin drag racing car in competition aired.

-Cactus was talking with Cole backstage.

-The opening angle was replayed.

-Cole interviewed Cactus on camera.

-Match 7: HHH, X-Pac, Chris Benoit, Dean Malenko & Perry Saturn vs Cactus Jack, The Rock, Rikishi Phatu & Too Cool
This was a super match! Maybe the best RAW main event since Rock-Mankind about a year ago. Everyone looked strong. In particular, Too Cool emerged as genuine superstars in this match as they were given the chance to look storng. Benoit looked great and his exchanges with The Rock and Cactus were fun to watch. Lots of great near falls and fast-paced sequences. Benoit pinned Grand Masta Sexay after a diving headbutt. New Age Outlaws then ran in but Kane, who was brought out by a 80+ pound lighter Paul Bearer, made the save in dramatic fashion and cleaned house as the show ended.

-Overall, another strong episode. Many poor workers looked better than usual and had acceptable matches. The main event was one of the most exciting closing segments in recent RAW history.
