WWF RAW IS WAR REPORT FOR
February 14, 2000

LOCATION: San Jose, CA Civic Center (?)
ATTENDANCE: 13,000 approx. (sellout)

-The Radicals came out, followed by DX and Stephanie McMahon-Helmsley. Tori was wearing a neck brace and footage from Smackdown aired where Kane tombstoned Tori. Stephanie blamed the fans for Kane's actions. HHH announced a bunch of matches for the show: Grand Masta Sexay vs Road Dogg, Scotty Too Hotty vs Mr. Ass, Saturn & Dean Malenko vs Rikishi Phatu, Rock vs Chris Benoit, and Kane vs HHH & a partner of his choice. Too Cool, Rikishi, Kane, and Rock all came out, stormed the ring, and cleared the ring of the heels.

-Match 1: Edge (w/Christian) vs Matt Hardy (w/Jeff) vs D-Von Dudley (w/Buh Buh Ray)
Footage aired from Smackdown where Buh Buh Ray powerbombed BB through a table. D-Von pinned Edge after an inverted DDT. Buh Buh Ray was excited afterwards since the Dudleys, by winning this match, earned a tag team title shot vs the New Age Outlaws at No Way Out.

-Mark Henry and Mae Young were in a hotel and asked for a honeymoon suite!

-Match 2: Road Dogg vs Grand Masta Sexay
Road Dogg won the match with a pumphandle slam.

-Henry and Young were checking into their room, and Henry put a "do not disturb" sign on the doorknob.

-Match 3: Godfather & D-Lo Brown (w/4 Ho's) vs Al Snow & Steve Blackman
Before the match, Snow attempted to hypnotize Blackman in a hilarious segment. The ho's went after Blackman. D-Lo ended up pinning Blackman with a sunset flip.

-Back in the hotel, Young and Henry decided to "get into something more comfortable" and Mark acted excited.

-Kurt Angle came out and delivered his usual hilarious thoughts. He said the European economy is up, suicides are down, and tourism is up since his winning the European title. He then challenged Chris Jericho for the intercontinental belt. Angle degraded Chyna, and footage of her appearance on the Tonight Show aired. Jericho came out and made fun of Angle on the mic, calling him a special olympics jackass. They had a pullapart brawl, after which Chyna DDTd Angle.

-Mae Young got into bed with Mark Henry and they, well, uh, I guess, "got it on". Jerry Lawler's expression was priceless and told the whole story. This angle was getting sick and maybe was the reason why I passed a lot of gas after the show.

-A recap of the Jericho-Angle brawl aired.

-Match 4: Chris Benoit vs Rock
During the match, Big Show attacked Rock. Benoit then pinned him with a German suplex. This was a good match as expected and a fun match to watch. Afterwards, Rock and Show fought, but the Radicals ganged up on Rock and got the better of him.

-Michael Cole interviewed Big Show concerning the previous match and his match vs Rock at No Way Out.

-More footage aired of Mark Henry and Mae Young "getting it on". Thankfully, the footage wasn't as graphic as it reads.

-Match 5: Mr. Ass vs Scotty Too Hotty (w/Grand Masta Sexay)
Scotty won with help from G.M.S. Mr. Ass assaulted him afterwards.

-Match 6 (WWF light heavyweight title): Essa Rios (champion, w/Lita) vs Crash Holly (challenger, w/Hardcore Holly)
Lita did a spinning huracanrana off the apron on Crash! Rios won with a moonsault, then Lita did a moonsault as well. On commentary, Hardcore belittled Crash over "losing to another woman" and said that he was an embarassment to the family.

-Match 7: Hardcore Holly vs Tazz
Crash ran into the ring causing Hardcore to be DQd. Tazz tazplexed Crash for his efforts.

-Kevin Kelly was going to interview Rock, but he simply shoved KK and walked away.

-Match 8: Rikishi Phatu vs Perry Saturn & Dean Malenko
Eddy Guerrero ran in and hit Rikishi in the leg with a wrench for the DQ. Too Cool then made the save.

-Match 9: Kane (w/Paul Bearer) vs HHH (w/Stephanie) & Big Show
This was a no DQ match. X-Pac ran in and attacked Kane along with Big Show, but Cactus Jack came in to even the odds. Kane chokeslammed Show and pinned him to win.

-Overall, a pretty good show with decent matches and entertaining segments. Nothing groundbreaking like last week, but very few dull moments. The Henry-Young segments were a bit much and took some of the enjoyment from the show. The Rios match and Lita's huracanrana in particular were memorable. Benoit vs Rock was fun to watch, especialy the symbolism of Benoit pinning Rock. It wasn't great, but good enough to satisfy the fans.
