WWF RAW IS WAR REPORT FOR
NOVEMBER 8, 1999

LOCATION: PENN. STATE UNIVERSITY BRYCE JORDAN CENTER
ATTENDANCE: 10,916 (sellout; $265,785 gate)

-Steve Austin came out at the start of the show. He talked about Vince McMahon hitting him with the WWF title belt at Smackdown! (footage was shown). He then called out Vince, who came out to a majority of boos. Austin confronted Vince, who appointed himself guest referee of the triple threat match with Austin, Rock, and HHH at Survivor Series to prove that hitting Austin was an accident. The Rock came out, and confronted Vince about his announcement. HHH them came out and put down the other three who were in the ring, and then he threatened Vince.

-The New Age Outlaws, Al Snow & Mankind were in the back arguing about something, which seemed to be a toy of some sort or even Al Snow's action figure that was pulled off of Walmart shelves.

-Match 1 (WWF tag team title): Mankind & Al Snow (champions) vs New Age Outlaws (challengers)
This was pretty much a standard match for these four in terms of action. Vince, who was watching backstage on a television monitor, said that if DX interfered there would be trouble. Val Venis ran in and attacked Mankind. Meanwhile, Gunn knocked Snow out with a chairshot and Road Dogg pinned him to win the match and the title for his team.

-Michael Cole interviewed the Outlaws w/ DX in the back, and HHH exposed his ass.

-After a commercial, Kevin Kelly interviewed Mankind and Snow. Snow seemed paranoid about his action figure being pulled from the Walmart stores. This was one of the many hilarious moments of the night.

-Match 2: Godfather (w/ 4 ho's) vs Val Venis
Before the match, footage of Venis burning copies of Mankind's book was shown. Godfather offered Val the ho's, but ended up fighting him anyway. Mankind attacked Val for the DQ ending and the two brawled into the crowd.

-Following a commercial, Michael Hayes interviewed Test and the McMahons.

-Ring announcer Lillian Garcia asked fans for a moment of silence so they could toll the bell 10 times in memory of Big Show's father. Big Bossman came out during the bell tolling, read a "sympathy card", and ran down Big Show's father.

-A video segment aired on Kurt Angle.

-They showed The Rock in the back.

-Match 3: Edge, Christian & Headbangers vs British Bulldog & Mean Street Posse
This was decent, including Rodney of M.S.P. surprising everyone with a nice moonsault attempt. Christian pinned Pete Gas to win the match for his team. After the match, all eight men brawled.

-Vince was shown threatening DX.

-After a commercial, a pre-taped segment aired in which Chris Jericho was at Beaver Stadium. In addition to saying the stadium was named after a women, he degraded Chyna again.

-Match 4: X-Pac vs The Rock
Vince was watching this match in the back and appeared to be talking to someone. X-Pac used a chair, but The Rock won with Rock bottom. Afterward, DX attacked The Rock. Vince came back out and confronted HHH. He ordered him to defend the WWF title later in the show against Test with the following stipulations: Shane would be guest referee, Vince himself would be guest timekeeper, and if DX got within 50 feet of the ring, HHH would be stripped of the title and the match would go to Test. The Rock then gave HHH Rock bottom for a loud pop.

-DX was in their locker room and really pissed about the previous announcement.

-Chyna (w/ Miss Kitty) came out. Stevie Richards dressed as Elvis then came to the ring and sang to Chyna (hilarious), who seemed amused. Chris Jericho then attacked Richards and then had a pullapart brawl with Chyna.

-After a commercial, they recapped the previous angle.

-The Acolytes were shown in a bar.

-A distraught Al Snow was on the phone adamantly saying he was not a murderer. Mankind arrived with two gifts for him. He gave Snow WWF The Music Vol. 4 and then gave him ("a facsimile of") a new Head, and Snow's mood quickly changed to one of happiness.

-Match 5: Big Bossman vs Kane
Tori was watching the match in the back. Prince Albert ran in to cause Bossman to be DQed. Bossman attacked Kane with his nightstick.

-The Acolytes were again shown in a bar, this time with a woman, when her boyfriend confronted them.

-DX were still angry, but they were getting their heads together and trying to collect themselves for the main event.

-Match 6: Too Cool vs Hollys
This was a decent match, although nothing out of the ordinary for these four. Hardcore Holly pinned Scott Taylor after a suplex/slam.

-Back in the bar, two patrons ran down Too Cool and then verbally ran down the Acolytes.

-After a commercial, back in the bar the Acolyted attacked the two people who were on their cases and a wild brawl took place with the Acolytes dominating.

-Test and Stephanie were shown in the back.

-Jim Ross announced that Arnold Shwartzenegger would be at Smackdown!.

-Match 7 (WWF title): HHH (champion) vs Test (challenger) The stipulations were mentioned earlier. Shane fast-counted HHH several times and at one point Vince threw HHH back into the ring. Vince hit HHH with the belt and put Test on HHH, but Test only gained a two count in a briliant false finish. On the titantron, Road Dogg appeared and showed that DX was attacking Stephanie in the back. Vince, Shane, and Test ran to the back and HHH was still the champion. The show ended with Vince and company frantically looking for Stephanie.

-Most unique signs in the crowd:
"Sit on my face"
"Jerichoholics: Real men drink beer"
"When did Austin get so fat?"
"Farting 24:7"
"Y2Jackass"

-Uses of foul language:
"Asshole": 2
Asshole chants: 5
Bleeped expressions: 4
(Amazingly, almost all of the foul language took place in the first 45 minutes of the show!)
