-Mankind and Al Snow came out to start the program and for their match. Footage aired of their trip to Las Vegas that aired on Smackdown!.
-Match 1: Hardcore & Crash Holly vs Mankind & Al Snow
Hardcore brought Al Snow's action figure out with him. He called Snow an
idiot, and said that fans would have their worst Christmas ever since his
doll was also pulled off the shelves (it came along with Snow's doll).
He then accused Snow of cutting people's heads off. The match itself was
decent. Crash pinned Snow to win the match. Mankind then laid out both
Hollys with a chair, although Snow was dejected over losing the match.
-The Stooges, Test, and Shane McMahon were looking for Vince McMahon.
-DX was shown arriving at the arena in a limo. They talked about their attack on his family at Smackdown! and joked about his family, including Stephanie.
-After a commercial, Shane and Test were still looking for Vince. Vince, who was found outside the arena in his car, announced that Shane and Test would challenge the New Age Outlaws for the tag team titles later on.
-Match 2: Kurt Angle vs Mark Henry
Angle talked about the importance of striving for olympic gold, then, in
a subtle yet hilarious way, ran down Henry for finishing 18th place in
his weightlifting competition at the 96 Olympics. This was short, but
surprisingly good while it lasted. Angle won with a northern lights
suplex. Angle is already showing superstar potential. His character in
Memphis was that of a 70's style face, and while maintaining elements of
that persona, they have creatively used that persona to turn him into a
compelling heel.
-Outside the arena, Vince McMahon ran his car into DX's limo. DX fled the scene, but the limo was destroyed.
-After a commercial, they showed the damaged limo followed by a recap of the previous incident. Vince was nearly insane as he almost attacked Shane and company. He was outside DX's locker room waiting to attack them.
-Match 3: Godfather (w/6 ho's) vs Chris Jericho
The fan playing a "Sign Guy Muchnick" characterhad a sign that said "WWF
= Porn". Jericho degraded Godfather and his ho's in a funny manner. At
one point, the ho's ganged up on Jericho. Jericho won after a
lionsault. He looked good.
-Vince banged on DX's locker room door with a bat. Police came, restrained Vince, and arrested him. DX arrived on the scene and a pullapart ensued. During the chaos, HHH attacked Vince while he was in handcuffs.
-After a commercial, the previous angle was recapped. They showed Vince being carried away by the cops while threatening HHH. DX made fun of Vince and his predicament.
-Match 4: Edge & Christian vs Buh Buh Ray & D-Von Dudley
Christian pinned D-Von after a superplex in a disappointing match for
these four.
-Michael Cole asked The Rock backstage who his partner would be later on in his match vs Big Bossman and Prince Albert. Mankind and Al Snow walked past him, and The Rock degraded both of them.
-The police were shown taking Vince out of their cruiser. They brought him into the station to be booked.
-Jim Ross hyped the wedding on next week's show with Test & Stephanie McMahon.
-After a commercial, they showed footage from Stephanie's bridal shower. This was completely hilarious. Fabulous Moolah and Mae Young were there. Stephanie was presented with such gifts as a black leather mini skirt, a black bra, and a whip, which mother Linda took away in a funny way.
-Match 5: Jeff Hardy (w/Matt Hardy & Terri) vs X-Pac
Footage from Smackdown! aired in which X-Pac cost the Hardys the tag team
titles vs the New Age Outlaws. The Outlaws ran in during the match, and
X-Pac won with an X-factor with help from Mr. Ass. This was a real good
match; the best of the night.
-Footage aired of Vince being booked at the police station.
-The Big Show was shown backstage.
-More footage aired from the bridal shower. Mae Young was drunk, and she fell onto a table and face-first into a cake. Linda told Stephanie that she would have a bachelorette party at Las Vegas.
-At the police station, Vince's mug shot was taken.
-Match 6 (WWF title): Big Show (champion) vs Kane (challenger;
w/Tori)
Viscera came out and went after Tori. Kane then attacked Viscera and was
counted out. Show slammed Viscera after the match. Bad match, bad
ending.
-Shane McMahon was talking to Vince on a phone and said he would be glad to deliver a message from him.
-JR pointed out Domenic Hasek in the crowd.
-Footage aired of the making of the "Oh Hell Yeah" music video.
-HHH came out and blamed the Austin incident on Vince after he ran into DX's limo. He deemed the assault on DX's limo attempted vehicular homicide, saying Vince committed such a crime for the second time in two weeks. He ran down Vince and talked about him being in prison. Shane McMahon came out, and said that Vince looked forward to facing HHH at Armageddon. He delivered Vince's message, which was that HHH would face both Acolytes in a handicap match later on in the show. HHH then challenged Shane. DX came out and Shane was gang-attacked. Test, the Hardys, and the Stooges made the save. The Acolytes also ran in.
-Footage aired of Mr. Ass's ankle being tended to backstage.
-Match 7: Val Venis & British Bulldog vs Too Cool
The Mean Street Posse were watching the match backstage. Val walked out
on Bulldog and the MSP ran in for the DQ. Rakishi Fatu made the save and
attacked the MSP. He then danced with Too Cool in another funny moment
(picture a 370lb man dressed in sumo garb dancing; enough said).
-Shane and Test were shown backstage.
-Vince was put into a jail cell.
-After a commercial, footage aired of the "End of Days" movie premiere. Mankind imitated Arnold in a hilariously accurate voice tone.
-Match 8: Road Dogg vs Test
Due to Mr. Ass's "injury", this became a singles match. Shane came out
as the special referee. Test won with a pumphandle slam in a short but
solid match.
-More footage aired of Vince in jail.
-Match 9: Big Bossman & Prince Albert vs The Rock & ???...
The Rock chose "the people" to be his tag team partner. Snow and Mankind
were watching the match backstage. Mankind came out and became Rock's
tag team partner. Mankind pinned Prince Albert after The Rock gave him
the people's elbow.
-Backstage, the Stooges razed HHH about having to face the Acolytes.
-Police told Vince that his bail had been posted. They told him not to go back to the arena.
-Match 10: HHH vs The Acolytes
There was a brawl throughout the arena floor, but the overall match was
lackluster. HHH KOed Bradshaw with a chair and went to leave, but Vince
KOed him with a chair and then threw him off the stage through a table to
end the show.
-Overall, this was a much better show than last week. Most of the top stars were used well. Also, the wrestling quality was better, and the angles were also more entertaining. Ten matches was maybe two too many, but it did help pace the show. The main event itself was more lackluster than expected and could have benefitted from some interference during the match. Good ending to the show itself, however.
-Most unique signs in the crowd:
"I get it!"
"Cane Dewey"
"Buffalo fears Toronto"
"Ho Train Ticket Taker"
"Caboose of the Ho Train"
"Hi TV!"
"Mae Young is the Blair Witch"
-Uses of foul language:
"Sonofabitch": 5
"Asshole": 1
Asshole chants: 2
Bleeped expressions: 1
