WWF RAW IS WAR REPORT FOR
NOVEMBER 15, 1999

LOCATION: PITTSBURG, PA
ATTENDANCE: 13,104 (sellout)

-D-Generation X came out to open the show. In particular, HHH was fuming over being "screwed" out of the WWF title by Vince McMahon at Survivor Series and saying that his title had been stolen. He ripped on Vince and called him out. Vince then came out and responded by saying that HHH was guilty of the "crime" of running Austin over with his car at Survivor Series (footage aired of this). He then brought out officers and detectives who had HHH detained for questioning.

-Jerry Lawler pointed out members of the Pittsburg Steelers in the crowd.

-Match 1: Mankind vs Val Venis
Mankind imitated Venis's opening speech style, but with a more comical overtone than a sexual one. This was a decent match, but nothing special. It is obvious that Mankind on an average night is a shadow of his former self. Mankind won with the Mr. Socko mandible claw.

-They showed the detectives questioning DX in the back. DX was being uncooperative, and HHH told the detectives to question Vince on the basis of his previous rival with Austin.

-Test and Stephanie McMahon arrived in the back, and Luna gave them a present which turned out to be a squirrel of some sort. Luna wished them well and said that she had found someone special too.

-Match 2: Godfather (w/5 ho's) vs Kurt Angle
Angle chided the fans for cheering a pimp and his ho's instead of him. Someone carrying a "World Wide Filth" sign at ringside distracted Godfather. Angle won with a loose version of a back suplex. Angle is actually decent, but he is so out of place at the same time.

-Backstage, the officers were going to question Vince.

-After a commercial, they showed the detectives questioning Vince about the Austin incident. In a funny moment, they questioned Vince about the memorable incident where Austin attacked him with a bedpan. They asked him about his associates, and Vince told them to ask them about the incident.

-Match 3: Chris Jericho vs Gangrel (w/Luna)
Jericho was distrsught when he came out. Chyna (w/Miss Kitty) came out. She reminded Jericho of his promise to have a sex change if he lost last night and said that they would assist in his sex change. Chyna brought out a SMALL pair of scissors, birth control pills, and the requisite tampons. During the match itself, Chyna distracted Jericho, who fell victim to a northern lights suplex and Gangrel pinned him.

-Backstage, Big Show asked Vince for a match against Big Bossman. However, Vince refused, stating that Bossman was previously booked to face The Rock and that Show would face British Bulldog.

-Vince then arrived at DX's locker room and ordered the following matches: Road Dogg vs Al Snow, Mr. Ass vs Test, and HHH vs Kane.

-Following a commercial, the detectives questioned the Stooges (Patterson & Brisco) about McMahon. The Stooges talked about the incident where Austin held Vince hostage.

-Backstage, the Acolytes were playing cards when Dave Hebner ran up to them and said the same two people they beat up last week were there looking for them. This time, however, there were four guys, but the Acolytes had no trouble brutalizing them. After this, the Acolytes said they wanted to go to a bar and look for a fight.

-After a commercial, Hebner told the Acolytes that the four men were still around, and so they attacked them again.

-Match 4: Big Show vs British Bulldog (w/Mean Street Posse)
Show won the match in approximately 30 seconds with a chokeslam. Show chokeslammed all three M.S.P. members after the match.

-Michael Cole interviewed The Rock, who accepted Bossman's challenge to a hardcore match. The detectives then arrived and questined The Rock about the Austin incident. Rock was HILARIOUS in his indignance to their questions.

-After a commercial, the detectives questioned Jerry Lawler, who incriminated Jim Ross.

-Match 5: Road Dogg vs Al Snow
JR was fuming over Lawler's incrimination of him. They recapped Snow getting Head back. This was a pretty good match as these two work well together. Road Dogg won cleanly with a pumphandle slam. Meanwhile, Mankind came out to console Snow and spoke. He said that they were going to Vegas. This was a gay segment.

-JR recapped the attack on Austin at the Survivor Series.

-X-Pac insulted Tori & Kane, who went after him only to be doubleteamed by X-Pac and HHH.

-Jericho directed a cameraman to a room where Chyna was taped to a chair. Jericho confronted Chyna and hit her hand repeatedly with a hammer.

-After a commercial, the previous angle was recapped.

-Match 6: Test vs Mr. Ass
They showed Chyna being tended to in the back. Her hand looked so ugly that the angle came off much faker than it should have. Test pinned Gunn with a roll-up out of a corner. After the match, Mr. Ass gave Test the famouser.

-Footage of an interview with Arnold Schwartzenegger aired. They showed footage from Smackdown! in which he attacked HHH.

-HHH was shown backstage.

-The angle with HHH, X-Pac & Kane was recapped.

-Vince came out to do color commentary for the next match.

-Match 7: HHH vs Kane
X-Pac tried to attack Kane, but was unsuccessful. HHH pie-faced Vince, who fought back but HHH got the better of him. Kane lost by DQ because of Vince's actions. Vince then attacked HHH and Kane chokeslammed him. Afterward, Kane seemed upset at Vince for costing him the match.

-Backstage, Big Bossman was shown picking his weapons for his upcoming hardcore match.

-They showed The Rock backstage.

-After a commercial, they recapped the HHH-Vince altercation.

-Match 8 (hardcore match): The Rock vs Big Bossman
They brawled throughout the crowd early on. The Rock took the referee's belt and used it. Prince Albert ran in and attacked The Rock, but he accidentally KOed Bossman with a chair. The Rock then KOed Albert. However, Bossman gave Rock his spike slam and pinned him cleanly, which resulted in a near riot at the Bluewall at Umass. Afterward, The Rock nailed both Bossman and Albert with a nightstick, busting Bossman's head open. He continued to relentlessly attack them as the show went off the air.

-Overall, this was the weakest Raw in recent memory. In most cases, the wrestlers' star power was not utilized effectively. Also, many of the wrestlers who are usually at Raw such as Edge, Christian, the Hardys, and the Hollys were not on the show. Worst of all, Bossman-Rock could not be considered a worthy main event for Raw under any circumstances. In particular, the finish didn't work as it seemed to simply piss fans off more than make them take Bossman more seroiusly as a legitimate contender.

-Most unique signs in the crowd:
"Put me on TV"
"Ed & Karen are rooty poos"
"Wal-Mart needs Head"
"Stupid"; fan next to him: "I'm with stupid"
"Monkey Balls"
"TBS sux"
"Who is booking this crap?"
"Hubcap man"
"Well it's the Big Slow"

-Uses of foul language:
"Sonofabitch": 1
Asshole chants: 1
(Again, the language was considerably toned down but the tasteless and sexual innuendo was on par with the usual.)
