1992 Super Junior Tournament Final: El Samurai vs Jushin Liger 4/30/92

This was one of the best Super Junior tournament finals ever. In terms of action, it was like a more updated version of Liger vs Sano from two years earlier. Samurai fought heelish from the start and ripped Liger's mask a bit. Samurai used a water bottle on Liger early on and tombstoned him on the arena floor. Liger powerbombed Samurai on the floor. Liger gave Samurai a koppo kick and partially ripped Samurai's mask off. Liger slammed Samurai on the floor and gave him a somersault senton off the top rope to the floor in a crazy spot. Liger gave Samurai a powerbomb. He then gave Samurai a top rope dropkick and a top rope kneedrop. Liger appled a sleeper on Samurai. Liger then gave him a German suplex and a koppo kick in the corner. He continued his attack with a series of shodas and a koppo kick that knocked Samurai out of the ring. Liger hit an Orihara moonsault on Samurai. Liger then went to work on Samurai's left arm. Liger then gave Samurai a top rope huracanrana and scored the pin at 21:15 to win the match and tournament. A state of the art juniors match at the time, with the move set being a hair less spectacular than it would be in later years. ****3/4
