1. All Japan Womens Pro Wrestling All Star Dreamslam I (Yokohama Arena att.16,500so $1,200,000 gate): Eleven matches, including ten wrestling matches and one shoot boxing match. The shoot boxing match and one wrestling match were crappy, but the other 9 matches rated between ***1/2 and *****, with 7 matches rated at least ****.
2. All Japan Womens Pro Wrestling All Star Dreamslam II (Osaka, Japan att.6,500): 9 matches, six of which rated **** or better, including the main event (*****+++), which is the best match I have ever seen. The other 3 matches ranged between **1/4 and ***1/2.
3. New Japan Pro Wrestling 1994 Super J Cup 1st Stage (Ryogoku Sumo Hall att.11,500so): This was a one night 14 man single elimination tournament involving a very talented crew of lighter weight wrestlers. "Only" 3 ****+ matches, but the action and atmosphere from start to finish is amazing. Great Sasuke was the MVP, having three matches rated at ****1/2, ****3/4, and ****3/4.
4. All Japan Womens Pro Wrestling Big Egg Wrestling Universe (Tokyo Dome att.42,500 est.$4million gate): This show contained more lackluster matches than the top 2 shows, but then again this show had 23 matches, including 19 wrestling bouts. However, with approximately 7 ****+ and 7 *** - ***3/4 bouts, this event compares very favorably.
5. Weekly Pro Wrestling Multi-Promotion Extravaganza (Tokyo Dome att.60,000 est.$6million gate): There were 13 matches, each one from a different Japanese group. Very entertaining show and the best show to attend if you wanted to get acquainted with the Jap wrestling scene 4 yrs ago. Five **** - ****3/4 matches highlight this show.
6. WAR Super J Cup 2nd Stage (Ryogoku Sumo Hall att.11,500so): Some people have overrated this a bit by calling it the best show ever, but it still belongs in the top echelon of great wrestling shows. Approximately 4 **** matches, and most matches are at least *** or are entertaining. Misterio jr.vs Psicosis is the best match at ****1/2 (at only 9 minutes 35 seconds!).
7. All Japan Womens Pro Wrestling 1995 Wrestling Queendom (Yokohama Arena att.9,500): A very underrated show by some critics. This card had at least 4 matches **** or better and only 2 matches rated below ***. A brutal shoot style wrestling match and another Manami Toyota classic highlight the show.
8. Japan Womens Pro 11/18/93 Major Event (Yokohama Bunka Gym att.4,800so): This card had only six matches, but four of them were better than ****. One other match was poor, and a match involving then-rookies 19 year old Chapparita Asari and Candy Okutsu was ***. By far the best show in JWP history.
9. All Japan Women's Pro Wrestling Budokan Hall 8/24/94 (att.15,800so): Two classic matches to end the show, and another ****1/4 match highlighted by Mariko Yoshida's return after a neck injury. Also, four ***+ matches and consistently strong workrate from start to finish make this event one of AJW's best.
10. All Japan Womens Pro Wrestling Destiny 9/2/95 (Nippon Budokan Hall att.14,800so): The last great show of the AJW glory years. At least three **** matches, and a very good overall show.
