1. Giant Baba, Stan Hansen & Jumbo Tsuruta vs Tamon Honda, Masa Fuchi & Kimala 2

Hansen whipped Honda into the barricade early. Tsuruta locked an abdominal stretch on Honda, as did Baba. Honda threw a ton of headbutts at Hansen but they had little effect. Kimala corner splashed Hansen but Hansen fought back. Fuchi gave Tsuruta a high kick. Honda hit a lariat on Tsuruta in the corner and gained a near fall. Tsuruta gave Honda a high kick. Fuchi was double booted by Baba and Tsuruta. Tsuruta hit a jumping knee on Honda and Baba gave Honda a high kick. Hansen pinned Honda at 12:57 after a lariat (6:06 aired). A bad match as would be expected. 1/2*

2. Toshiaki Kawada vs Yoshihiro Takayama

Takayama took down Kawada early with a stiff slap and scored with a bunch of kicks. Takayama also got the better of Kawada on the mat early. He laid in more stiff kicks and slaps and Kawada stalled at ringside again. Takayama applied a cross armbreaker as heat picked up. Kawada took down Takayama but only briefly. Takayama continued to get the better of Kawada on the mat as Kawada seemed unusually tentative in general. Takayama landed a bunch of knees and went for a cross armbreaker but Kawada blocked the hold. Kawada back suplexed Takayama and applied a stretch plum as some fans awakened from their power naps induced by the boring nature of the previous 14 minutes. Kawada gained a near fall but Takayama fought back. Takayama German suplexed Kawada but was unable to apply a cross armbreaker. They exchanged slaps and chops. Kawada scored with a couple koppo kicks and two jumping kicks for the pin at 18:22 (15:53 aired). A terribly boring match for the first fifteen minutes. The last three minutes raised it from DUD staus, but this was still Kawada’s worst major match. I wouldn’t believed Kawada could be in a match this bad if I hadn’t seen it myself. 3/4*
