1) All Japan Double Tag Team Title: Toshiaki Kawada & Akira Taue (c) vs Kenta Kobashi & Jun Akiyama
Akiyama applied a sharpshooter on Kawada as footage began. Kobashi then applied a Texas cloverleaf on Kawada. Kobashi also gave Kawada a kneebreaker on his left knee and applied a half crab. Akiyama applied a leglock but Kawada countered with a cross armbreaker in a neat spot. Kawada countered a German suplex with an enzuguiri on Kobashi. Taue gave Kobashi a high kick and whipped him into the barricade. Taue DDTd Kobashi on the floor after removing a section of the blue mats. Kawada hit Kobashi with a running high kick. He attacked Kobashi’s forehead, which was taped up. Taue dumped Kobashi onto a ringside table and whipped Akiyama into the barricade. Kawada knocked Akiyama into the crowd in spectacular fashion with a high kick. Kawada gained a near fall on Kobashi back in the ring. Kawada knocked Akiyama off the apron with another high kick. Kobashi fought back with a dropkick on Kawada and tagged Akiyama. Kawada met Akiyama with a high kick but Akiyama responded with a dragon screw. Akiyama gained a near fall on Taue with a northern lights suplex. After a ton of counters of each man’s moves, Taue DDTd Akiyama. Kawada stiffed Akiyama with a running high kick in the corner. Taue and Kawada double booted both opponents and gave Akiyama a nodowa-back suplex combo after which Kawada gained a heated near fall. Kawada gained a near fall on Akiyama with a lariat and another with a powerbomb. Kawada applied the stretch plum on Akiyama in the ring as Taue held Kobashi at bay at ringside. Kawada gained a near fall on Akiyama and gained another with a jumping kick. Kobashi gave Kawada a lariat but Taue dropkicked him. Taue gained a near fall on Kobashi with a dynamic bomb after which Taue DDTd Kobashi on the apron. Taue gained a near fall on Kobashi back in the ring and gained another with a nodowa. Taue gained a near fall on Kobashi with a high kick. Akiyama gave Taue an exploder and he & Kobashi gave Taue a back suplex/powerbomb combo after which Kobashi gained a near fall. Kobashi gained a dramatic near fall on Taue with a moonsault. An exchange of offense ended with Kobashi and Taue hitting simultaneous lariats on each other. Kobashi gained a near fall on Taue after which he pinned Taue at 25:58 after a lariat (17:35 aired). This was the typical world-class match from these guys. ****1/2
