1. Takako Inoue, Tomoko Watanabe & Yumi Fukawa vs Toshiyo Yamada, Etsuko Mita & Chapparita Asari
Asari hit two jumping knees on Fukawa early. Watanabe hit a second rope elbow on Asari and applied a half crab. Takako repeatedly punted Asari’s head but Asari fought back and gave her a (slightly sloppy) top rope spinning huracanrana. Takako DDTd Yamada. Yamada back suplexed Watanabe three times for an early near fall. Yamada gained a near fall on Watanabe with an enzuguiri. Watanabe hit Yamada with a lariat but Yamada fought back with a 360 spin kick for an early near fall. Watanabe gained a near fall on Mita with a huracanrana. Takako DDTd Mita and gave her a destiny hammer for a near fall. Yamada superkicked Takako and Mita powerbombed her for a near fall. Takako countered a second Mita powerbomb and back suplexed her for a near fall. Asari hit a top rope dropkick on Watanabe. Asari hit a plancha onto all three opponents and Mita followed with a tope suicida. Mita gained a near fall on Watanabe with a blazing chop. Mita caught Watanabe on the top rope and suplexed her for a near fall. Watanabe gained a near fall on Mita with a screwdriver. Watanabe gave Mita a lariat and a back suplex for a near fall. Watanabe pinned Mita at 17:12 after a second screwdriver (9:36 aired). A very good match with the workrate you would expect. ***1/4
2. Kyoko Inoue vs Yoshiko Tamura
Tamura attacked Kyoko before the bell and repeatedly whipped her into the barricade at ringside (I think 7 times). The bell finally rang when they returned to the ring. Tamura gained a near fall with a second rope sunset flip. Kyoko no-sold some of Tamura’s offense and gave her a lariat. Kyoko gained a near fall after two lariats against the ropes. Kyoko gained a near fall after a released German suplex. She made Tamura submit at 1:53 to a Boston crab. Pointless match given the brevity. 1/4*
3. Yumiko Hotta & Kumiko Maekawa vs Aja Kong & Rie Tamada
Maekawa threw some kicks at Tamada but Tamada scored with a dropkick. Tamada hit a plancha onto both opponents. Maekawa gave Tamada a high kick and an Argentine backbreaker. She hit Tamada with a couple roundhouse kicks as did Hotta. Kong hit Hotta with a bunch of kicks but Hotta fought back with an enzuguiri. Hotta landed a few stiff kicks but Kong no-sold them at first. Kong and Hotta did some mat wrestling as the pace slowed. Kong went for an armlock but Kong countered. Kong gave Maekawa a couple stiff kicks. Tamada gained a near fall on Maekawa with a double arm suplex. Hotta held Tamada and Maekawa gave her a stiff kick. Hotta gained a near fall on Tamada and then applied a Boston crab on her. Hotta gained a near fall on Tamada with a legdrop and another with a piledriver. Maekawa superkicked Tamada twice for a near fall. Tamada dropkicked Maekawa in the corner. Kong piledrove Maekawa for a near fall. She dropped Maekawa upside down in the corner and Tamada hit a dropkick on Maekawa followed by a corner splash from Kong. Kong gained a near fall on Maekawa with a vertical suplex. Tamada applied a camel clutch on Maekawa and Kong kicked her for a near fall. Maekawa superkicked Tamada for a near fall. Tamada German suplexed Maekawa for a near fall. Kong hit both opponents with a cross bodyblock and gained a near fall on Maekawa with a second rope splash. Maekawa gave Kong a high kick for a near fall. Kong gained a near fall on Hotta with a dangerous backdrop. She missed a top rope elbow and Hotta applied a cross armbreaker. Kong attempted a tope suicida on Hotta but Maekawa cut her off with a top rope dropkick. Tamada hit a top rope dropkick on Hotta and Kong a top rope elbow for a near fall. Kong gave Hotta a second rope dangerous backdrop for a near fall. Tamada German suplexed Maekawa. Hotta applied a Fujiwara armbar on Kong. Hotta missed a top rope spin kick and Kong pinned her at 24:01 after a brainbuster (14:46 aired). A very good match with Kong at her best. Maekawa was not fantastic but her kicks were sharp and her unique style almost reminiscent of Booker T. ***1/4
4. WWWA Tag Team Title Best of 3 Falls: Manami Toyota & Mima Shimoda (c) vs Mariko Yoshida & Kaoru Ito
Given who was involved, this could not have been a better match. In particular, Ito and Yoshida had arguably the best match of their careers. The only major drawback of this match was the
lack of heat for most of it. First fall began hot. Ito and Yoshida did synchronized handspring elbows to the champions in opposite corners. Ito gave Toyota a series of footstomps for an early near fall.
Ito gave Shimoda her second rope corkscrew senton for a near fall at 3:02. Ito and Yoshida dominated Shimoda until she hit a double lariat. Shimoda German suplexed Yoshida for a near fall. The
action picked up and Toyota gave Ito a rolling cradle for a near fall. Toyota met Ito's knees on a moonsault attempt but recovered. She went for a springboard plancha onto both challengers but hit
Shimoda instead. Ito and Yoshida dove onto Toyota at ringside but couldn't put her through a table. Ito gained a couple near falls on Toyota with top rope footstomps and a thrid after she and Yoshida
hit a superplex. Ito pinned Toyota at 12:36 to win the first fall after a top rope fisherman buster. Early in the second fall the challengers missed a double top rope headbutt on Toyota. Toyota then
gained a near fall on Ito with her Toyota roll. Yoshida jumped to the tope rope and came off with an impressive sunset flip on Shimoda for a near fall. Yoshida gained a heated near fall on Shimoda with
a type of Death Valley driver. Shimoda pinned Yoshida at 2:35 to win the second fall after a tiger superplex. Third fall began with Shimoda again tiger superplexing Yoshida, this time for a near fall.
Toyota gained near falls on Ito after three top rope dropkicks, a German suplex and a double arm suplex. Shimoda was briefly dominated on the mat before she gave Ito a double arm superplex for a
near fall. The challengers then gave Shimoda a double top rope headbutt after which Ito gained a near fall. Shimoda hit a tope through the ropes onto both challengers and Toyota followed up with a
springboard somersault plancha onto Ito and Yoshida. Toyota and Shimoda hit Ito with a double top rope dropkick and Shimoda gained a near fall. The challengers both hit topes on Toyota and Shimoda.
Yoshida attempted a plancha but dove onto Ito. Toyota moonsaulted Yoshida for a near fall but Yoshida then gave her la magistral for a near fall. Toyota gained a near fall on Yoshida with her ocean
cyclone suplex. Toyota then gave Yoshida an ocean cyclone suplex as Shimoda came off the top rope with a clothesline and pinned her at 13:46 to win the third fall and match. ****3/4
