Mitsuharu Misawa, Kenta Kobashi & Stan Hansen vs Toshiaki Kawada, Akira Taue & Johnny Ace 4/2/95
This was the best match of the 13 federation spectacular at the Tokyo Dome put on by Weekly Pro Magazine. It showcased All Japan's strength in terms of spots and psychology, and the fan heat was as great as you would expect given the occasion. Kobashi dominated Taue early but Taue came back with a lariat. Kawada stiffed Kobashi with his chops and kicks. Ace and Kobashi had a nice exchange of moves. Misawa's team dominated Taue for a brief stretch before Kawada tagged in. All six looked good during the first half of the match including Hansen, who was still a good worker at the time. Kobashi gave Ace a back suplex for a near fall. Kobashi and Kawada exchanged blows and Kawada won out with a series of kicks. Kawada kicked Kobashi in the head and Taue gained a near fall. Taue Samoan dropped Kobashi for a near fall. Kawada applied the stretch plum on Kobashi to attempt a submission. Kawada and Hansen had a heated exchange and Hansen powerbombed Kawada. Kawada gave Hansen a great back kick to the face. Misawa gave Taue a tiger driver for a near fall. He then gave Taue an elbow suicida. All six men briefly fought in the ring before Kobashi suplexed Taue for a near fall. Kobashi then moonsaulted Taue for a dramatic near fall. Ace gained a near fall on Kobashi with his Ace crusher. Ace used a famouser/rocker dropper on Kobashi and then gave him a moonsault for a great near fall. Hansen back suplexed Ace for a near fall and gained another with a powerbomb. Hansen lariated Ace but Taue immediately gave Hansen a nodowa. Kawada lariated Hansen. Taue gained a near fall on Misawa with a powerslam and another with a dynamic bomb. Misawa countered a Taue dynamic bomb with a huracanrana but time ran out at the 30 minute mark. The last ten minutes were super with one near fall after another. All six were fired up, although it was evident that Hansen's stamina was beginning to fade by this point. ****3/4
