Important! Additional GLOBAL RALLY 2002 RULES HERE! Still be sure to read the below rules though :) Contents:
(a) The Strict Rules |
|
1) This is a major rule, and I've put it first as there will be zero tolerance! No racist comments whatsoever on the roleplay board or OOC board. If any such comments are made, you will be banned instantly from the fed. It's something we can't stand here, so don't do it! 2) No references to ‘handlers’ on the roleplay board. We've got the OOC (Out Of Character) Board for that. If you are referring to someone, call them by their 'wrestler' name. If you are referring to a previous roleplay, don't call it a roleplay, describe it as an interview or promo etc. Also, if you have any issues to take up with the front office, post them on the OOC Board or contact us directly, not the roleplay board. 3) nO wRITING aLL yOUR rOLEPLAYS iN cAPITAL LETTERS. You see how annoying this is? Only save capitals for emphasizing a point or for a point where your guy shouts in his roleplay/interview. 4) All decisions are final. If you lost, you weren't screwed, you just didn't out roleplay your opponent. Don't give up, just take it like a man and look to your next match. 5) Don't use other people's wrestlers in your roleplays, without consent. If you do, you'll job to them, simple as that! 6) If you're a wrestler not 'under contract' then don't post on the roleplay board, you'll only jeopardize your chances of being accepted into the federation. 7)
Another important one, each handler can have up to four wrestlers (+ one
valet per wrestler) in the federation. However, we don't accept real
wrestlers, only original ones. By all means steal someone else's gimmick and
use it, but don't expect to win many matches through originality.
1) If you fail to roleplay, you won't win, simple as that. If there is a match where the two competitors don't roleplay, the match will be decided completely randomly (a dice roll or coin toss or something). It's your call... 2) You can swear and make minor (although this is a very touchy subject which could, in extreme cases lead to trouble) homosexual references in roleplays, but neither make you look big or clever. The reason I am not banning homosexual references is because sometimes the joke can come off well, but be warned, you're treading thin ice if you go there as anything more than a minor joke will be frowned upon! 4) If you win a title, don't rest on your laurels. The more you challenge and aim to be a good champion the more you'll be accepted by the front office and your peers as a worthy champion. If you just lay back and don't defend your belt with honour, believe you me, we'll have you in more matches than Jerry Hall has had plastic surgery! 5) Roleplays are judged entirely on quality, not quantity. However, use around 200 words as a guide for the MINIMUM acceptable length. Roleplays are judged on the quality of the roleplay, but also in originality, so let's have none of the 'I am that damn good' or 'the whole f'n show' lines used, we're not stupid are we? (New rule: that was a rhetorical question, so no e-mails answering the 'we're not stupid are we?' question!) 6) You can form stables, but we don't want a federation with 9 different stables with 6 guys in each. We'll look upon you guys better if you're sensible with this. 7) Finally, if you go three weeks without roleplaying, e-mailing a member of staff to say you can't compete or posting an OOC stating where you are, we'll probably kick you out. You've had your warning, but I think we're being more generous than most feds there.
Due to the problems I’ve seen elsewhere with rule-breakers, I’m going to operate on a two strikes and you’re out method. If you break the rules, you will be given a ‘cooling off’ period, which may involved the following: 1) Jobbing: Yes, the dreaded word. An instant loss, no matter what the handler does to try and combat it. You can roleplay as much as you like but if you break the rules, and you're the next Scott Taylor (without the dancing). 2) Suspension: Similar to permitted leave in that you don't compete, but different in that we say when you return. For a cooling off period, this is likely to be 2 shows. 3) Roleplay deletion: Only used if its something which doesn’t warrant jobbing or suspension, but could offend some people. So if you then break the rules… again… the following will be enforced: 4) Extended suspension: A month, two months, hell maybe a year, who knows!? 5) Fired: Sacked! Terminated! Tossed aside like a dirty rag! Yes, there are many ways to describe this, and it will only be done in extreme cases, but, if you break the rules consistently, you'll be stripped of your titles, banned from the fed permanently, and publicly humiliated
1) Roleplay Board: Can anyone hazard a guess? Yup, this is for posting roleplays/interviews, or, where matches are won and lost! 2) OOC Board: For out of character references (discussion with other handlers, front office etc.) 3) No
forms up as of yet, except for a template for applications. Coming soon. If you end up becoming a match-writer, you’ll need to know the following: 1) Late results really suck! If you’re not going to be able to get results in on time, for God’s sake, LET US KNOW!!!!!!!! Then we can put in a temporary solution. But be warned, keep being untimely with results, and your staff position won’t be safe! 2) I, as the owner, have the rights to change anything too far fetched in the results or biased towards the match-writer. Hopefully I’ll never have to use this, but who knows. I know someone who was once written out of a fed by being ‘killed’ in ring. That won’t happen here. 3)
Match-writing won’t count towards your RP’ing for that week. Just to clear
up a bizarre myth that it does. Like any message board, flaming will not be tolerated. Nor will comments about my mom. :) So, taking a cue from my old rules that Bob reinforced at the BSW for flamers:
1) If one such post is made (fairly mild),
the handler will be suspended for up to two cards as a punishment. Nothing
too harsh, just a warning. (h) The all important ‘rule (h)’ …………..HAVE FUN!
