Wrestler history: Alan Takada is what's known as a "blue-chip" rookie. After being a pro wrestling fan for years, especially of NWA star Magnum TA, he was trained by the Malenko Wrestling school in Tampa, Florida, wrestled on the indy circuit for several months, and recieved an opportunity to train in Japan with the NOAH dojo after being spotted by a vacationing Richard Slinger. He trained in the New Japan dojo for a full year, then made his debut on a Michinoku Pro show against Macho Pump. This debut, which angered several New Japan agents in attendance because of his liberal use of Keiji Mutoh's "Shining Wizard", led to him travelling the indy circuit in Japan for several months. Magnum AT enjoyed a short tour with Pro Wrestling PRIDE before its unfortunate shutdown. His record there was 1-0-0, with a victory over the veteran light Heavyweight, Xhadow. Now, after being exposed to various styles, including learning several moves from his friends in T2P, Magnum is ready to enter a new arena and showcase his style. "Really, none of the
pictures I found were good enough representations. Here's a
description: Magnum is a tall, muscular biracial man of Japanese and
African-American heritage. His skin has a perpetual tan, like The Rock,
and his eyes are slightly slanted and brown. His build is solid, but
not "juiced-up" like HHH and is most similar to the build of Rick
Steamboat. Magnum has long, slightly curly jet black hair that is
normally pulled back in a ponytail and his facial hair is a constant 5
o'clock shadow. His ring wear is standard, with red trunks, black elbow
and knee pads and black boots with red tassels. During his ring
entrance, he wears a black leather jacket with the word "Magnum" on the
back in red letters."
