Victor S. Toda Vs BRYCE
'N.O.R.E' by Noreaga bursts out of the PA as Victor
Toda emerges, making his way toward the ring. He exudes confidence as he
enters the ring. He raises one arm in response to the fans’ applause. The
music fades away and is replaced by ‘Nothing Ever Lasts Forever’ by Queen.
BRYCE emerges from the back to the cheers of the fans. He looks all business
tonight. The bell rings, signalling the start of the match. The two take
their time, circling each other, taking their time. Toda aims a kick at
BRYCE, which is dodged. The two continue circling each other until they lock
both their hands together, in a traditional test of strength. BRYCE has the
immediate advantage, using his weight to bend Toda over, onto his back. Toda
though breaks his grip and sweeps BRYCE’s legs, knocking him onto the floor.
Toda immediately springs onto BRYCE, looking to attach an arm bar, but BRYCE
keeps both hands locked. Toda decides upon another strategy, stomping at
BRYCE’s midsection, before grabbing BRYCE’s leg, in an attempt to work in a
leg submission. BRYCE though is alert, and connects with a kick to Toda’s
head with his free foot. BRYCE rolls out of the way and the two men stare
each other down as the crowd applauds. The two circle each other again and
lock up. BRYCE uses his strength to back Toda into a corner. He unleashes
several knees to Toda’s ribs, then with some elbows to Toda’s face. Toda,
clearly rocked by the onslaught, grabs the ropes. BRYCE breaks cleanly,
receiving a round of applause for such good sportsmanship. Toda comes
straight out of the corner and rushes BRYCE with some kicks of his own,
aiming for BRYCE’s legs. Toda ends the flurry with a wheel kick that sends
BRYCE down. BRYCE though doesn’t allow Toda the opportunity to work in a
submission, as he rolls straight out of the ring. These two have obviously
scouted each other well. BRYCE re-enters the ring and the two lock up once
more. BRYCE gets the upper hand, body slamming Toda down. BRYCE follows it
up by bouncing off the ropes and dropping a jumping elbow for 1 ½ . BRYCE
drags Toda and whips him into the corner. BRYCE follows in yet Today is too
quick, rolling out of the way as BRYCE hits the turnbuckles. Toda is quick
to take the advantage, laying in with some corner boot scrapes and
culminating with a corner-sling twisting splash. The fans applaud the nice
move as Toda makes the cover, but BRYCE raises his foot onto the ropes. Toda
though keeps the pressure on, as he drags BRYCE up and executes a DDT. Toda
exits to the apron and executes a brutal springboard foot stomp. Toda poses
to the crowd as BRYCE clutches his stomach, clearly in pain. Toda drags
BRYCE up and puts him onto the top turnbuckle. Toda climbs to the second
turnbuckle and hooks BRYCE’s arm over his head, intending to hit his
turnbuckle drop fisherman’s suplex, but BRYCE holds on, and uses his free
hand to land some hard jabs to Toda’s ribs. BRYCE finally manages to push
Toda off, sending him crashing to the canvas. BRYCE quickly follows up with
a diving elbow drop to Toda. BRYCE picks Toda up and puts him onto the top
turnbuckle himself. BRYCE climbs to the second turnbuckle and lays into Toda
with some more jabs and elbows. BRYCE hooks Toda’s arm and executes an
avalanche style brain buster! BRYCE covers for 2 ¼ . BRYCE drags Toda up and
throws him into the ropes. BRYCE attempts his Demon Lariat, yet Toda manages
to duck underneath it. Toda runs into the opposite ropes, running back at
BRYCE, yet BRYCE meets Toda with a kick to the midsection, then executes a
Thunder Fire Power bomb! BRYCE covers for 2 ¾ ! BRYCE senses victory, and
drags Toda up once more. BRYCE again attempts the Demon Lariat, yet Toda
majestically ducks underneath then leaps onto BRYCE, executing a crucifix
takedown. Toda then transitions into a grounded double hammerlock. BRYCE is
in pain but manages to shuffle to the ropes, after being trapped for a short
amount of time. Toda doesn’t let up, and immediately drags BRYCE up and
executes a German suplex hold for 2.9, with BRYCE kicking out with a scream
of determination. Toda springs up and yells to the crowd, indicating his
finisher, the ‘Point of No Return’ is coming. He grabs BRYCE’s arms, yet
BRYCE struggles out and throws Toda into the ropes. BRYCE executes a power
slam for 2 ¾ . Toda is first up again, but BRYCE catches Toda by surprise,
launching himself on one knee at Toda, hitting him with a lariat! Toda is
stunned, but BRYCE didn’t get all his power behind that lariat. BRYCE
follows up with a second lariat, this one a Demon Lariat that sends Toda
crashing to the canvas. BRYCE covers for 2.9! BRYCE cannot believe Toda
kicked out. But he remains composed and drags Toda up by his hair. BRYCE
throws Toda into the ropes and executes a third Demon Lariat, this one
connecting with full force, sending Toda to the canvas on top of his head.
BRYCE covers Toda for the 3 count.
Winner via Demon Lariat in 14:23 - BRYCE
GROUP C - Orange Valkyrie Vs Una Nueva
Creacion
‘Drown Soda’ by Hole starts playing over the PA to signal the imminent
arrival of Orange Valkyrie. The music changes to ‘Quitame Ese Hombre’ by
Pilar Montenegro as UNC emerges from the back. He walks toward the ring,
mocking several fans at ringside before leaping over the ropes into the
ring. The two immediately lock up, with Valkyrie throwing UNC into the
ropes. Valkyrie attempts a Kawada-esque jumping kick, but UNC ducks down to
avoid it then hits a low dropkick to the seated Valkyrie! UNC keeps the
pressure on, grabbing Valkyrie’s head and wrenching it backwards, in a
grounded headlock. Valkyrie though manages to find the ropes, but UNC
refuses to break and has to be removed by the referee! UNC is given a
warning by the referee, but Valkyrie uses it as an opportunity and launches
himself at UNC, knocking him back with a clothesline. Valkyrie grabs UNC’s
head and lays in with some knees to it before following up with a rolling
sole butt that sends UNC down. UNC rolls out of the ring, but Valkyrie
follows up with an awesome suicide dive onto UNC! Valkyrie rolls back into
the ring to absorb the fans’ applause, while UNC holds his back, looking in
pain. Valkyrie tries for another high spot, taking a run up before executing
a springboard plancha, yet UNC has got it well scouted and rolls out of the
way, as Valkyrie crashes to the outside. That looked painful! UNC doesn’t
seem to care, adding to Valkyrie’s woes by irish whipping him into the
guardrail. UNC then drags Valkyrie back into the ring and begins to work
over Valkyrie’s arm with stomps, kicks and knees. UNC takes his time in
systematically working over the arm, obviously readying himself for some
sort of arm submission! UNC, almost cockily, executes a step over arm bar,
wrenching Valkyrie’s arm. UNC decides against applying it with full force,
he releases the hold and re-attacks with knees. UNC obviously intended the
arm bar to further weaken Valkyrie’s arm! UNC drags Valkyrie up and throws
him into the ropes before taking him down with a water-wheel suplex. UNC
covers for barely 2. UNC goes back to working over the arm, he climbs to the
second turnbuckle and launches himself at the arm, yet Valkyrie manages to
roll out of the way. Valkyrie rises, clutching his arm. Toda bounces off the
ropes towards Valkyrie, but Valkyrie is quick and manages to execute a DDT.
Valkyrie drags UNC up and hits a Mongolian Chop! UNC goes down to one knee
and Valkyrie himself clutches his arm. Valkyrie though sucks in the pain and
follows up with a kick to UNC’s face, sending him down to the canvas.
Valkyrie drags UNC back up and executes a Rock Bottom! He covers for 2 ¼ .
Valkyrie signals to the crowd and climbs to the top turnbuckle, launching
himself at UNC, executing a senton bomb! Valkyrie covers for 2 ¾ ! Valkyrie
hits the mat in frustration. He drags UNC back up and lifts him before
executing his Butterfly Driver. Valkyrie cockily covers for 2.9! The crowd
applaud but Valkyrie cannot believe it! Valkyrie sets UNC up and executes a
Michinoku Driver. He decides not to cover, and slowly climbs to the top
turnbuckle, posing to the fans halfway up. Once at the top, Valkyrie
launches himself, executing a Sky twister press yet UNC rolls out of the
way! Both me are down and hurting, but UNC rises first and hits Valkyrie
with a Full Nelson Suplex for 2.9! Both men stay down again, both feeling
hurt and exhausted. Both men get up at the same time, but Valkyrie launches
himself forward, executing a high kick, but UNC ducks and sweeps Valkyrie’s
other leg, sending him crashing to the floor! UNC doesn’t waste any time and
immediately executes his Strange Hold Gamma! Valkyrie is in a lot of pain,
but tries to shuffle toward the ropes, but UNC has the hold applied tightly!
Valkyrie fights in vein, the pain too much for him, and he submits! The
referee holds up the arm of the winner, Una Nueva Creacion!
Winner via Strangle Hold
Gamma in 11:50 – Una Nueva Creacion
GROUP B - Megadeth vs. Minoru Nagoaka
‘Disaster Piece’ by Slipknot blazes over the PA system as Megadeth, now 1-1
in Pro Wrestling Speed, enters first, guitar in hand as always. He awaits
his opponent, Minoru Nagoaka, who finally enters to ‘The Greeting Song’,
drawing huge heat. Nagoaka enters alone for his singles debut, his tag
partner Ryu Nishimura staying backstage to prepare for the main event.
Straight away the two feel each other out with some kick-feinting, before
Nagoaka strikes instantly with a high kick! Megadeth drops to the canvas
like a rock, as the referee administrates his count 1…2…3…4…5…6… Megadeth
rolls to the outside to get a fresh ten count, shaking the cobwebs from his
head. He slides back in and instantly Minoru goes for the same shot, but
this time Megadeth ducks and plants Nagoaka with a back drop suplex, locking
on a trio of magistral cradles to follow, each one getting gradually nearer
to a 2.5 count! Megadeth pulls Nagoaka to his feet and attempts an Irish
whip, Nagoaka reversing however and locking on an abdominal stretch. He
faultlessly transitions into an octopus hold, Megadeth quickly reaching the
ropes. Nagoaka pulls him away from them and throws some kicks to the mid
section, before trying for an ipponzeoi whilst Megadeth is doubled over.
However, Megadeth blocks and rolls Nagoaka quickly up into a victory roll,
Minoru breaking at 2! The match is proving an interesting one due to the
strong styles clash, as Megadeth takes control, throwing some kicks of his
own in the corner, before sending Nagoaka into the opposite corner and
hitting a space rolling avalanche! However, as he tries to follow up with a
German suplex, Nagoaka flips out of the hold before murdering him with a
palm strike flurry into the corner, ending with a huge roundhouse kick!
Megadeth stumbles forward right into a capture suplex from Nagoaka, Minoru
transitioning into a cross armbreaker. Megadeth reaches the ropes, but is
taken straight back down with an ipponzeoi, Minoru again locking on a cross
armbreaker! Megadeth manages to backwards roll out of the hold, but moves
seamlessly into a Fujiwara armbar from Nagoaka! The hold is kept on for a
good couple of minutes, but Megadeth finally reaches the ropes. Obviously
hurting, he slowly stands, Nagoaka kicking away at his arm, before trying
for a shoulder arm thrust. Somehow Megadeth blocks and throws a crucifix pin
hold for 2, but has to break, his arm giving way. As he stands, Nagoaka
throws a kick to the knee to force Megadeth to bring his arm into play (to
protect the knee), before hitting a vicious front high kick to the shoulder.
Megadeth drops to the mat, his shoulder in pain, as Nagoaka nonchalantly
applies a step over armbar. He modifies the hold, kneeling into Megadeth’s
back as he applies it. Despite what seems like minute sin the hold, Megadeth
somehow manages to reach the bottom rope, clutching away at it to break the
hold. As he stands, Nagoaka signals for the end, before locking on a full
nelson, seemingly going for a dragon suplex. Out of desperation Megadeth
drops down and throws a wild overhead kick, but only catches air, Nagoaka
hitting a stiff kick to Megadeth’s back. He lifts up Megadeth again and this
time hurls him over with a release dragon suplex… but Megadeth pops right
back up, and, still clutching his arm, scores with a Yakuza kick before
flopping to the mat! Both men are down as the referee starts to administrate
a 10 count. At around 8, both men slowly stand, slapping each other from a
kneeling position as they do. They both get to their feet, and Nagoaka
throws a high kick, only for Megadeth to counter by ducking it using a low
dropkick! Megadeth sticks to moves that won’t need his arms, nailing a front
dropkick sending Nagoaka to the outside. Megadeth then charges, looking for
his Space Flying Tiger Drop, but stops mid run up, realising his arm won’t
take the weight, and instead dropkicks Nagoaka through the ropes! He rolls
Minoru into the ring and covers 1…2… 2.9! As Nagoaka stands, Megadeth
charges, trying for a type of shining move, but he gets caught, Nagoaka
hoisting him onto his shoulders. However, Megadeth counters, ‘ranaring him
up for a nearly a 3 count! Straight away, Megadeth heads up top, and, still
clutching his arm, leaps off with a moonsault press, landing right on
Nagoaka before he can stand! Rather than cover however, Megadeth pulls
Nagoaka to his feet and sets him up… thunder fire powerbomb! However, his
arm still can’t take the weight, and Nagoaka drops straight down into a
modified triangle choke, pushing Megadeth’s arm away from his neck at the
same time! Megadeth really is trapped and instantly taps, losing a very
close contest! Nagoaka stands cockily to huge heat, looking down on Megadeth
after an impressive display, yet still deep inside he must know that his
opponent gave a gutsy contest and one hell of a fight back before he would
finally stay down!
Winner via triangle choke
in 14:59 – Minoru Nagoaka
Ryu Nishimura, RUTA, Bullet Kosugi and
REI Shimoda vs. Chimaera Dragon, Magnum A.T., Meiko Liger and Yumi Shiratori
Bullet Kosugi and REI Shimoda enter first to ‘Bleed For Me’ by Black
Society, the pair seemingly having formed some an alliance in the joshi
division. They stand in the ring and await their tag partners, and are first
joined by Ryu Nishimura, who enters accompanied by Minoru Nagoaka, gaining
huge heel heat. The pair pose in ring to a chorus of boos but seem to revel
in it, cockily smiling away. Finally, RUTA enters the arena, his bizarre
mannerisms getting him some heat from the crowd as he enters. He climbs
through the ropes as Nishimura and co. keep their distance, looking a bit
freaked out by RUTA as he spits the red mist vertically in the centre of the
ring before posing by the ropes. With all the heels present, the face team
starts to enter, ‘Scuttle Buttin’ by Stevie Ray Vaughn playing over the PA
system as Magnum A.T. enters. He charges the ring but straight away Ryu
Nishimura, Minoru Nagoaka and RUTA pick him off, beating him down against
the ropes! Nagoaka delivers an over the shoulders judo throw as the three
other faces rush the ring and the bell rings, the referee eventually getting
Nagoaka out of the ring and sending him backstage. Chimaera Dragon pulls
RUTA off Magnum A.T. and forces him back into the corner as Magnum A.T.
starts to fight back against Nishimura. The four joshi girls also square
off, and eventually we end up with the four faces having forced the heels
back into opposite corners. They send all of their opponents into the centre
of the ring, all four of them colliding, before the faces all charge and hit
dropkicks! RUTA is chosen as the man for the faces to pick off as the
referee restores some order after a messy start, Chimaera Dragon squaring
off with RUTA. Dragon gives him a pair of quick armdrags, followed by a
monkey flip, before charging and hitting a tilt-a-whirl armdrag. RUTA gets
to his feet but is met with a dropkick, sending him back against the ropes,
before Dragon lariats him to the outside. This cues Magnum A.T. and Ryu
Nishimura to enter, the pair going right into a collar and elbow tie-up,
Magnum A.T. coming out on top with a front facelock. Nishimura tries to spin
out of it but Magnum A.T. holds on, rotating with him. He then tries to
transition into a front neck lock, but Ryu slips out before delivering a
standing double foot stomp. Nishimura then wraps up Magnum’s legs and locks
on a figure four clutch for a 1.5 count, Magnum A.T. elaborately rolling
backwards to escape before rolling sideways into a Royce Gracie style
triangle choke! Nishimura gets a foot on the ropes and attacks before A.T.
is even up to his feet properly, thrusting forward with a head butt to the
stomach followed by a modified small package roll up with a leg/neck lock.
A.T. reaches the ropes with ease, and catches a Nishimura kick as he stands,
spinning Nishimura around and dropping him over the top rope from an
inverted powerbomb position, before slingshotting over the top rope and
delivering an elbow to Ryu who is suspended over the top rope, both men
going to the outside! This cues Shiratori and Kosugi to enter, Shiratori
right away taking Bullet Kosugi’s knees out with a dropkick. She throws a
couple of low kicks before trying for a kneebreaker, but Kosugi powers out
with some elbows to the back of the head followed by a bulldog. She drops
Shiratori with a snap suplex before trying for a standing senton splash, but
Shiratori moves before planting her with a dropkick to the back of the head.
Yumi then attempts an Irish whip, but Kosugi manages to duck a lariat before
hitting her leaping knee, Shiratori proceeding to roll to the corner and tag
in Meiko Liger as Kosugi does the same, tagging REI Shimoda. The two lock
up, REI Shimoda instantly taking the cheap shot route by striking Liger in
the throat before hitting a standing axe handle smash to her back. She
plants Liger with a couple of knee shots to the face, before lining her up
and trying for a Uraken. However, Liger ducks and fires back with a Rolling
Koppou Kick, before dropkicking Shimoda into the corner. Shimoda tags in Ryu
Nishimura as Liger tags in Chimaera Dragon. The two start to feel each other
out with a few kicks, before locking up in a collar and elbow tie up.
However, as soon as they do so, Nishimura pokes the eyes before all 3 of his
team-mates charge in and start to assault Dragon, throwing him back into
their corner! Nishimura stays in and throws some stiff roundhouse kicks to
Dragon in the corner to huge heat, before charging and hitting his Knee
Press Nightmare as Dragon stumbles out. Nishimura then drops Dragon with a
drop toe hold followed by a in ring quebrada across his back. The assault
doesn’t stop here however as he tags in RUTA and holds down Dragon’s legs,
allowing RUTA to drop a slingshot moonsault onto Dragon’s back, before the
two females fly in with a stereo slingshot legdrop (Shimoda) and springboard
body press (Kosugi)! RUTA then sends Dragon to the ropes and drops him with
a queborada con hilo as he returns, before applying a forward rolling bow
and arrow hold. RUTA then surprises everyone by showing great variation in
his attacks, breaking the hold but quickly reapplying with a Romero Special,
allowing Ryu Nishimura to deliver a springboard knee drop to Dragon mid-air!
Dragon’s back seems to be hurting as RUTA hits a couple of short elbows to
the back, before hitting a rolling sole butt, hissing as he strikes. He
makes the tag to Nishimura, who ties up Chimaera Dragon so he’s facing the
crowd in the ropes, before delivering some more venomous kicks to his back!
The referee eventually forces him to let Dragon go free from the ropes,
Dragon capitalising on a short war of words between Nishimura and the ref to
unload a low dropkick to Nishimura. He throws another dropkick to
Nishimura’s other knee, before trying for the Drago Driver! However, his
back gives way mid-move, and Nishimura transfers into his Dragon’s Claw!
Chimaera Dragon is stuck with nowhere to go as Nishimura hangs from his
limb, trying to hyperextend his arm. The fans start to rally behind Dragon,
and somehow, out of desperation, he manages to lift Nishimura up and plant
him with a cross armed death valley driver! Both men go down as Dragon, his
back clearly in pain, tries to crawl to his corner. Nishimura chooses
instead to try and cut him off (rather than make the tag), and grabs
Dragon’s leg, but Chimaera Dragon fires back with a leg feed enziguri! He
dives… and makes the tag to Magnum A.T! Magnum clears house, hitting a
Shining Wizard on Nishimura before knocking RUTA senseless with a superkick.
He waves in Liger and Shiratori, who charge in and catch their females
opponents in stereo Boston crabs! Once again, the referee just throws the
rulebook out and lets it all go, having already forgotten who the legal man
is. Magnum A.T. obviously hasn’t forgotten who the most tired on the heel
side will be however, as he picks up Nishimura and delivers a German suplex
hold for 1…2… kick out! Nishimura slowly gets up as Magnum A.T. sets up for
another shining wizard, and charges… only for Nishimura to duck and RUTA to
catch Magnum mid-air with a T-bone suplex! RUTA covers 1…2… kick out! RUTA
takes Magnum A.T. to the corner and tries for his Iconoclasm, the first part
of his finisher, but A.T. kicks him away before nailing a calf-branding
style knee drop. He opens up RUTA’s legs and locks on a sasorigatame! RUTA
seems to have nowhere to go, but Kosugi and Shimoda, having now escaped the
holds, nail a dropkick from each side, breaking it up. The pair then take
out Magnum with a cheeky move, Kosugi kneeling down behind him and Shimoda
hitting a dropkick, sending Magnum over Kosugi backwards, before locking on
stereo jujigatames! Magnum clearly can’t escape as his arms are completely
tied up, but the save is made by Liger and Shiratori, who then drill Bullet
Kosugi with a double team fisherman’s buster! Shiratori bundles Shimoda to
the outside before flying out with a crazy springboard tope con hilo, as in
ring Liger finally gets the better of Bullet Kosugi, nailing her with the
Liger Bomb! She covers 1…2… 2.9, Nishimura saving! Nishimura tosses Liger to
the outside to huge heat, before press slamming his own team-mate Kosugi out
onto her! Ryu then goes after Chimaera Dragon, setting for his Ryu Driver,
but Dragon floats over before drilling him with a German suplex! He rolls
through, setting for the second stage of his Chimaera Plex, but Nishimura
scores a reverse low blow to break it up, followed by the Ryu Driver! He
covers 1…2… broken up by Magnum A.T! Magnum quickly reverts to his Mag-Lock,
trapping Nishimura in the centre of the ring! Ryu has absolutely nowhere to
go, with everyone else taken out… except for RUTA, who breaks it up with a
diving headbutt! He pulls Magnum to his feet and tells Nishimura to hold
him, before pointing to his throat! The crowd know what’s coming as RUTA
spits the green mist… only for A.T. to duck, Nishimura taking it in the
eyes! Magnum levels RUTA with a superkick as from behind Chimaera Dragon
cradles Ryu Nishimura 1…2…3! Nishimura cannot believe it and he goes
absolutely ballistic, assaulting not the opponents but RUTA! Chimaera Dragon
and Magnum A.T. embrace on the outside as Liger and Shiratori raise their
arms, Kosugi and Shimoda still regrouping. Minoru Nagoaka runs out, going
straight past everyone and into the ring to help Nishimura, the pair laying
waste to RUTA with stiff kicks. However, RUTA shocks everyone by firing off
one more round of mist to Nishimura to a quite positive reaction, before
eating a Nagoaka high kick! The show ends with Nishimura wiping his eyes
clean as he swears Nagoaka will gain revenge on Chimaera Dragon in the
tournament in 2 weeks time!
Winners via small package
hold over Ryu Nishimura in 28:13 - Chimaera Dragon, Magnum A.T., Meiko Liger
