Update for 8th September 2002

Some VERY UNWELCOME NEWS...

Basically, I'm going to have to postpone the tournament. I think we can all agree it's been an absolute mess. Firstly, there's been MASS confusion over which matches are on which shows, and I think it'd be terribly unfair for me to judge a winner with half of the roster only expecting to have first round matches this week, and the other half having mentioned their possible second round opponents. Secondly, whilst results are more or less finished, realistically I'm not going to have time to write up results for the second show, and my two other matchwriters are just as snowed under with college and full time work, so I doubt we could do you all justice.

So, a GIANT apology to those who wrote matches, roleplayed, and especially Jussican, Dave Read, Nick and Tom who have had to put up with me closing TFX, and PWS twice. It is now VERY unlikely I'll bother returning to e-fedding, as I have no time at all to and will be offline for a good few months after this week, so all that's left for me to say really is so long and thanks for the good times! And please - no flaming me or the other staff for this, I challenge any one of you to do this roster justice week in week out without being unable to find time to provide the level of results expected these days!

...unless, that is, you guys feel like running the fed yourselves. If you'd like the tournament to continue, I will be quite happy to pass all the web pages and passwords over to a bunch of you to finish off the tournament. However, you'll have to organise AMONGST YOURSELVES who'll be doing what in the fed, then present your ideas to me by the end of the week. It'd certainly be nice if I know I can leave it in the hands of the handlers already here.

NB - Chris, if you still want to give a go at running it, let me know and I'll get you in touch with the people who have offered to help/anyone else who offers to help out with the fed
