Cattery Background

Breed Color Division:
Currently, we are most heavily working with Solid Persian lines resulting in cats of the following coat color possibilities: Black, Blue, Red, Cream, Tortoise-Shell (Black/Red), Blue/Creams, and White (Copper-Eyed, Odd-Eyed, and Blue-Eyed).

We have added a Dilute Calico Bicolor, which is a cat with color plus white. In her case she is blue & cream patched with white. Calico's are always females. The rare male calico is usually sterile because he is carrying an extra 'X' chromosome.
Bicolors can produce the same colors as solids and also the solid colors + (plus) white (spotting) (i.e. Black & White, Red & White, Black/Red & White=Calico, etc.)

We are not anticipating very many bicolor litters in the future, and hope to return to an all solid program.

Professional Organizations, Clubs, and Other Activities:
We show in the CFA (Cat Fanciers' Association) and are long time members (and former officers) of the Tarheel Triangle Cat Fanciers, a CFA licensed service club that puts on two shows annually in CFA's Southern Region, in Raleigh, North Carolina.

Currently, we are Board Members and Officers in Dixieland Silver and Golden Fanciers, celebrating the Silver and Golden Persians (and all cats in this pigmentation group). We also use the show time to celebrate the December holiday season with our friends and new acquaintences in CFA and the fancy.

In addition, we are members of Foothills Felines, formerly in Spartensburg, SC; now putting on two shows annually in Simpsonville, SC. Also, we were founding members and helped with the formation of a new club in the Carolinas called Coastal Paws Cat Club, which tends to move it's shows around SE North Carolina and NE South Carolina. They have had shows in Fayetteville, NC, Myrtle Beach and Florence, SC, and currently are enjoying Wilmington, NC, and that community's response to the club's presence.

We both are Licensed Master Clerks and we are doing some development towards becoming Licensed Master Clerk Instructors. If you have any questions about clerking, feel free to contact us and we will give you an answer or put you in touch with the person who can answer your questions. We recommend clerking school for all new exhibitors, as well as, those persons interested in becoming clerks.
