Anorexia is not a fad diet. Some people say it's not a lifestyle either, but I beg to differ. I believe it is a lifestyle. Sometimes it's a chosen, other times, it's not. But I believe an Anorexic can "recover" at any time, with the right help. This page is for those who choose not to recover but live a HEALTHY Ana lifestyle, instead.

How can you be a "HEALTHY" Anorexic?

-- By knowing your limits. Know the lowest healthy weight for your height and body type. Set goals (immediate/intermediate) to help you achieve your long term weight goal. Once you reach your long term weight goal, STOP! That's the hardest part. When you reach your goal weight, you may still think you're fat, but in reality, you're not. There's a thin line between "healthfully underweight" and "emmaciated".

How do I know if I'm "healthfully underweight"?

-- Your BMI (Body Mass Index) will tell you where you fit on the scale of "How fat am I?". To be healthfully underweight, your BMI should be between 16 and 19. If your BMI is 15 or below, you are emmaciated and you need to seek help IMMEDIATELY!

PLEASE, DO NOT ATTEMPT TO LOSE MORE WEIGHT AFTER YOU HAVE REACHED THE LOWEST HEALTHY WEIGHT FOR YOUR HEIGHT/BODY TYPE, AS IT COULD CAUSE SERIOUS DAMAGE TO YOUR BODY!
