How to Avoid COE...
What is COE?
~ COE is "Compulsive Over Eating".

What can I do to avoid it when I can't get out of the house?
(Note: The following methods are not guaranteed to work for everyone.)

1)
Read a really good book.
   ~
I find that time flies by when I'm totally involved in a great book. By the time I'm finished, I realize that it's time for bed already so, I can't eat anything!

2)
Create your own Ana website.
   ~
It takes your mind off food and it's triggering at the same time! Be thinspired by your own creation!

3)
Clean the house.
   ~
It burns calories and takes your mind off food and it's really a parent-pleaser! If you live alone, it will benefit your cleaning needs, as well.

4)
Dance to some music!
   ~
Turn on some dance music while you clean. Dancing burns extra calories and it's FUN! It seems to put me in a better mood, too.

5)
Treat yourself to a warm bubble bath.
   ~
It feels really good to pamper yourself, and it takes up time!

~ I find that it makes it even better to turn off the lights, light some candles, and burn some incense to relax, take my mind off of anything and everything else, and focus on the good   feeling of being pampered. It also helps to turn on some soft, romantic music.

6) Write in a journal(If you don't already have one, create one. It helps to write down your feelings in a journal.)

~ Keeping an Ana journal is a good way to distract youself by writing down all your feelings when you're fighting the urge to eat something. It also tells you what you need to work on as far as your temptations go.

7) Surf the web or a magazine for thinspirational pictures.
~ Find pictures of thin, beautiful models to decorate your journal with. Fill up the pages with thinspiration that you can refer to when you're feeling bad or tempted by food.
~ If fat, ugly people are your trigger, search for pictures of them to paste in your journal. That way, if you feel the urge to eat, just refer to the pictures and tell youself that if you eat that   food, you're going to end up like that person. Eventually, you'll automatically start associating  that food, with an ugly, fat person.

If your current method of distraction isn't working, try one of these. Although they may not be effective for everyone, they work for me. Good luck and stay stron
