| Warp Seekers Name: Warp Seekers (formerly Emperor�s Illuminated) Leader: Daemon Prince Aln�ithor (Formerly Librarian Astinae) The Emperor�s Illuminated were a successor chapter to the Ultramarines, with a strong tradition of gaining knowledge and securing lost technology. Shrouded in secrecy, the chapter attempted to secure as many artifacts as possible with the intention of keeping them from heretic, mutant, and xenos discovery. During a conflict with renegade space marines from the Swords of Khargoth warband, Librarian Astinae was exposed to the daemon weapon Ikthan the Soul Reaver, during a battle with a chaos lord. Although he was able to destroy his foe, he became seduced by the power of the sword. Only his vast psychic potential allowed him to avoid being consumed utterly. Using the mind warping effects of he was able to compel a portion of his chapter to join with the remnants of the Swords of Khargoth and slaughter his former battle brothers. Over the course of several bloody invasions, Librarian Astinae, with the aid of Ikthan the Soul Reaver, was able to ascend to Daemonhood. Gathering forbidden lore and artifacts remains the warbands focus to this day. |
