My name is Agnieszka. I am 20 years old and was born on 15th November 1982 in Brzeg. It is a small town.
I live in Opole, which is in the south west Poland. It is a town of 140.000 inhabitants and it is a students town. We get many of them during the school year. It is even good when here are lots of youngers. We have several fests that are done especially for them, so even if the place I live in is quite small many interesting things happen here. I enjoy it. Well, Opole is also a place where the Polish Song Festivals are held every year in June. This year the festival started earlier than usually ( 8 to 10. 06 ). The weather was rather bad during those days and it is normal that when people come to Opole from other parts of Poland they should take warm clothes and an umbrella with. Anyway the atmosphere in my town during this time is marvellous. We also have few interesting monuments to visit if you are interested into it. Myself I enjoy sightseeing and taking a lot of pictures.
Now I tell you something about my home and hamily. I live in a block of flats with my parents and younger brother Grzegorz. He is 15 and attend Gymnasium School. My mum works as an accountant and my dad is an engineer.
I graduated from Copernicus high school no.1 ( 1LO in Opole). I wrote the final high school exams in May 2001. I also had entrance exams at the University of Opole and College of Opole in July 2001. I put my documents in two schools. I knew exactly what I wanted to do. I wanted to study at the English Philology and I do. I have attended Longmans Private International Language School of English some time ago.
My hobbies are sport, travels, boyz, Astronomy, foreign languages and cultures, listen to music, watching TV , internet chatting, going out with my friends to discos, pubs, bars, singing, shopping, fashion, collecting postcards / phonecards.
The sports I do are volleyball, ice skating , roller skating and play tennis. I enjoy watching soccer on TV. I have been playing volleyball since I was 10 years old , but I am not tall enough to play it longer. I am only 170cm and it is too little for this sport. Ice and roller skating is something what I just love. In winter we have an ice rink where my friends and me go skating especially at the weekend. Unfortunately in spring and summer it is closed so we go roller skating. Tennis I play just for the recreation and supporting good football players is what I like as well. I do not have any best team and I just watch few players.
I also love travelling. I have been to 10 European countries like Germany, Czech Republic , England , Austria , Italy , San Marino, France , Monaco, Spain and Denmark. I would like to visit those countries one more time and see more places. Who knows maybe one day it will come true. I also would like to visit other European countries. My biggest dream is to travel all over the world and see all my pen pals and learn a bit about their cultures.
As I have said I like foreign languages. I have been learning English for almost 13 years now ( since I was 6 years) and German for 4 years only. I also learn Spanish at home by myself. I know few basic words and sentences , but I am already able to write in this language. Anyway I have always thought that English is the best language on the world and I really like this language.
I listen to almost all kinds of music, especially techno. I have a real fun listening to this music.
Internet chatting is something I am addicted of.
Hmmmmm ... it is a cool thing, because I can meet new people from anywhere. I have chatted on irc especially on usa and opole , but I stopped and join another chat room at www.interia.pl . I do not know if it works in your country, because few of my pals told me that it did not work in their countries. I always chat in the local room ... opole and I have already met many people. It could be said that internet changed almost all my life. Now it looks like I am living la vida loca as Ricky Martin sang in one of his songs. I am always out with my group of friends. We visit several places and we have a lot of fun drinking beer and dancing in the disco.
I also like watching TV , especially in rainy days. I enjoy doing this activity, even if I have too little time for it. I watched several movies, tv shows and traditionally shoap operas. I liked The Party of Five, Dawsons Creek and Sabrina Teenage Witch or something like that. The best movie ... or better ... the movie which made me crying almost all the time was Titanic. That film was great.
I also collect stuff like postcards, phonecards, stamps , coins, just everything what is possible to send by traditional mail. I have a big collection, but I am rather a from time to time swapper.
