Dear Susan,
I am finally writing a letter to you in response to the letter you sent me a while ago. I apologize for my delayed reply. I seem to get involved in many things, and I find time has gone by quickly. As a result of having so much work to do, I have had limited time to relax and enjoy myself.
I am writing to you because I would like to share some news with you. I have bought an interesting thing in the antique shop. It is a 19th century rectangle desk. It is dark green with a golden flowery pattern and of course it is made of wood. This desk probably belonged to a famous writer while he was working. This desk has four long thin and beautifully sculpted legs, like ribbons waving while the wind is blowing. Looking from afar, the desk resembles the shape of the letter ... L ... . There is a beautifully composed mirror on the right side toward the front. I like its frame very much. It is in a shape of golden grapes growing, with leaves of all sizes crossing each other. Of course I ordered to install a new mirror because the previous one seemed to be too old and worn out. On the back of the desk there is a lid where I keep several things such as writing utensils and important documents. Ah, I almost forgot that by buying this special desk I received an actual 19th century old pen. It is probably the one used by this writer. Anyway, I will not use this pen because I consider it to be a monument. I will put it in a special place where it will remain safe. In front of the desk there are two big drawers which were closed by the key. They have beautifully curved golden handles. Very important things were probably kept here. One thing which I have to admit is the music box. Frankly speaking, it is the most pleasant of the whole object. It is still working and it is very nice to imagine that it has been working for many years. The music box is in a shape of a young cheerful girl wearing a pink dress. I like the melody of Vienna Waltz. It is nice to hear it while doing something like writing a letter to you. Believe me when I say that it is a great pleasure for my ears.
Well, my dear Susan, as you see I am very satisfied with this purchase I have done. I hope that you will come to visit me very soon and see this miracle. It is very comfortable and I spend a lot of time sitting at it and writing letters.
The weather has improved recently. The snow has already melted. What a wonderful day it is here: it is sunny and warm. Fresh leaves and flowers shows that now spring is here.
