| e Mission Statement of the Pure Poets Society is to Mentor Youth via the Arts on an International Level. We are advocates of wisdom and understanding; opposing violence and jails as remedies to combat social ills. It is our intention to utilize non traditional means to support at risk communities. Realizing that ignorance and poverty perpetuate many of the problems that we see in at risk communities today all across the world. The objective is to redefine the importance of self esteem. We intend to acomplish this through community interaction by creating a united community front with sharing and giving back to the community form which we dwell. It is our philosphy that by promoting education, wisdom and the use of understanding as we share the arts and other forms of self expression we will reduce the need for violence, jails and other forms of traditional forms of punishment that have failed the nation and the world |
