Over the years our family has grown. There are now 5 cats here. But this is still Prince Albert Einstein's castle. There is one other large male bengal. When Jack came it sounded like we were on a safari or something for a few nights. Jack was used to not being the dominant male. So he passively accepted Albert's role as boss. After almost 4 and 1/2 years, Jack left us to live with a nice couple as their new "baby". Albert finally got his wish.
For several years Albie has taken walks with me. He accepts his harness. But he doesn't care for it. He jumps in the car and goes for rides. When we get near the Vet's place Albert gets in the floorboard.
If he is not with me when I go to a local drive through, such as at my bank or at one of the fast-food restaurants, I might get asked, "where's your cat?"
In early Spring of 2003 Albert decided he was tired of the snow. So when he walked outside, he would stay next to the house where there was no snow. As the temperature warmed and the snow melted off sidewalks, he took many walks with me. I reminded him to "stay on the sidewalk". And I said things like "good boy, Albert is walking on the sidewalk". He now understands "Stay on the sidewalk". Of course, he doesn't always want to do that.

Occasionally a friend invites us to visit. We have visited in many of the neighbors' homes. Sometimes while walking Albert tries to turn onto several sidewalks leading up to  houses. He doesn't understand why we can't just go visit everybody.
