Next thing to talk about is scrapes.   Sorry no pictures yet.   Scrapes are made by bucks to help locate a doe that is ready to mate.   A buck will clean out an area on the ground with his hoof (usually 1-3 ft wide) with an over hanging limb.   A buck will leave his scent in the scrap (I think you know how he does this) and he will also leave his scent on the limb by nibbling on it.   So when a doe comes by she will leave her scent the scrape (I think you know how she does this) and the buck will come every day or two (more when the rut is in full swing) and check to see if there has been any ladies stopping by that are ready to mate.   Scrapes are excellent areas to hunt around.   You just have to do your homework and get out and scout.
