Shed hunting - For all those who like to hunt for antlers after season here is a tip. If you have a feeder, hammer steaks around it. When the bucks go to eat these will help loosen the antler and hopefully drop right around your feader.

How to Score your turkey - The formula for
overall score is: weight (lbs. and oz.) plus 10
times spur length (right plus left) plus 2 times
the beard length. The beard must be measured, to
the nearest 1/16 inch, from the center point of
the protrusion from the skin to the end of the
longest bristle. Spurs must be measured, to the
nearest 1/16 inch, along the outside center, from
the point at which the spur protrudes from the
scaled leg skin to the tip of the spur. Ounces and
fractions of inches need to the converted to
decimals.

Spring Fever is coming fast and furious here in
Tennesse. It's time to get up early and begin
scouting for Spring Gobblers. There is nothing
like the sound of a thundering gobble of an old
boss Tom early in the morning. So, get your calls
out and practice. Then go find some
birds.
Hermitage,
TN (Jan 6, 2003)   I would like to thank everyone
who helped me this year. Especially the land owners who with out them a lot of my hunts would not have been possible. I would also like to take this time to remind everyone to be helpful to those who let you hunt. Don't just be around during hunting season, help them year around. This will help you in the future and may open more hunting oportunities for you. Check back for more tips later.
