My Poetry

I Never Meant to Disappoint my Parents
I would write a thousand words
To excuse what all I've done to you.
I would buy a thousand presents
If it would erase this day to makke a new.

I would hurt forever more
If it would take away your pain.
I would cry a thousand tears
If it would calm your constant praying.

I've written at least a thousand words
and still I'm unexcused.
I could never afford those thousand presents
so I'm sorry this day has been abused.

It hurts too much, to hurt forever.
I know your pain just keeps on prying.
Upon your praying, I've shed a thousand tears,
But I want you to know I love you, and I'm trying.

Mrs. Soderquist
Ill keep you in my memory
For all my years to come
The only teacher to make me believe
Im really not that dumb

The only teacher to make me laugh
every single day
The only teacher to let me have
fun along the way

Educational and humorous
Ill never forget you and your class
But I still sit here in hopefulness
That your class Ill actually pass!

To My Friend: C.J.
I just want to thank you
For all youve given me
Without you realizing what you do
Your spirit has set me free

Often I get caught up in
Things and people that are no good
But if you could end all my sin
Im positive you would.

Your impact in my life is great
And I want you to be aware
Out of every emotion I could create
I want you to know I care.

Blake
I see,
Sitting high on the tree,
My old friend Blake.
Just seeing him brings back
A years past memory.

The laughs shared with old friends,
Whom now Ive drifted away from.
Conversations Ive shared with my father.
Inside Jokes that nobody else understands.

Just a delightful little squirrel
Sitting in a tree.
But sitting along with him,
Is a branch of my memory.

Aunt Lisa
I wake up every morning,
Knowing that you care.
Knowing that if I need you,
You will always be there.

Your words create a blanket,
that wrap around me, keep me warm.
It's nice to know that when we talk,
We both get a turn.

When I need someone to listen,
When I need my voice to be heard.
When I need to know that someone cares,
God-mother is the word.

When I think of love and kindness,
When I think of honor and pride,
I think of you Aunt Lisa.
YOU pop into my mind.

I'd like to wish you a happy birthday,
One that can't be traded.
And when the day is done and gone
Remember, you're the greatest!
