what it does: gives the caster total control of the person it's cast upon
comments: this curse was often used during our dark lord's rise in power to control witches and wizards inside the ministry of magic. after his downfall, many death eaters claimed to be under the imperius curse to escape imprizonment.
the crutacius curse
say: "crucio!"
what it does: causes extreme pain to the person its casted on
comments: one of the favorites in the torturing of muggles and the dark lord's non-supporters
the killing curse
say: "avada kedavra"
what it does: instantly kills those cast upon
comments: this is the ultimte curse. theres no blocking it and no counter-curse. the only person know to have survived it is harry potter. bodies are left unmarked and no real cause of death can be detected by muggles or otherwise.
