| "Whoa, a game that mixes faries and shotguns? No way" Thats what I said when I first saw the game. Its a mix of magick and techonology, two completely different paths to choose from and possibly follow. From being a drarven-pyromaniac to a half-elven dark mage, this game is extreme. You can learn spells, of 16 categories (ex. fire, electric, summoning, nature, force etc.). Or you can put your points into technological studies of 12 categories (ex. gun smithy, explosives, theraputics etc.).There are so many skills and items in this game, its mind boggling. There are more quests, characters, NPCs, spells, and machines than you can shake a flamethower at. This game is far to complicated. and expansive to describe in this little box (im also kinda lazy) so.... go to www.arcanum1.com |

| Rating: 9/10 Type: First Person Shooter Replayabilty: Good online Bad offline The most awesome first person shooter. Play as a marine, alien, or predator, and the stories interlock together, so its like you can play the same thing from a different point of view. It has awesome graphics, and intense quality and gameplay. Not for the cowardly or unbrave, this game has been known to make people piss themselves repeatedly. The highly, highly detailed enviroments make for some incredible gameplay. Be a marine with an arsenal of guns, a motion tracker, night vision, flares, and occaisonally buddies. Be a predator with the ability to cloak, jump really high, heal yourself, recharge your enegy, fire energy blasts, shoot harpoons, throw tracking discs, shoot nets, and be an ultimate hunter. Or be an alien, with immense speed, claws, stunning tail venom, the ability to eat prey for health, the ability to walk/run on walls, and the 1 hit killing head-bite. Online is a whole new ball game. 6 modes to play, 4 different classes for each species, and incredible fun.
