Name: Soryu Asuka Langley
Series: Evangelion
Age: 14
Battle record*: GP(10) W(4) L(3) T(3)
Quote: "BAKA!"

Asuka is the ass kicking pilot of Evangelion unit 02. She's got beauty, brains, and with the help of EVA02, she's definately got some brawn. Despite the fact that her synchronization rate is not quite as high as Shinji's, and her battle record isn't premium (just casue her EVA doesn't go berserk every two episodes =P), coupled with the Production Model Evangelion ("the first EVA built for combat"), she is definately a force to be reckoned with.

Asuka was born in Japan, but at some point moved to Germany, where construction of EVA02 was starting. While she was there, it turned out she was a genius, and she completed university. On an unrelated note, her mother committed suicide, probably part of why Asuka's personality demands she be the best at everything. Something about a doll too... (I wish these Evangelion episodes would make more sense).

While all this is going on, we are suddenly propelled forwards in the timeline to the year 2015 AD. Asuka is now 14 (and hot O.o), and is returning to Japan to work for Nerv, that super duper agency that manufactures giant robots and tries to end the human race. On her way however, she and the naval fleet she happens to be travelling with are attacked by an Angel. She kills it.

Anyways, that's most everything I can think of about Asuka right now. During the series, her mind is 'raped' by an Angel, and she is no longer able to synchronize with her EVA. It stays this way until the movie (T.T), when she gets some help from her dead mom and comes back bigger and badder than ever. The way she handles her AT field makes it look like Obi-wan using the Force in Episode I.

Good Asuka episodes:

Ep.8 Asuka Strikes! (Asuka is introduced to the series)
Ep.9 Both of you dance like you want to Win! (Asuka kicks some angel ass with the assistance of Shinji)
Ep.10 Magmadiver (See what Asuka would look like fat)
Ep.19 Introjection (Asuka goes all out [but still loses])
Ep.22 Don't Be. (A bit of Asuka's past, the ep. where she's put out of commission)

*GP=games played W=win L=loss T=tied. Wins are battles where Asuka played a vital role in the victory, losses are where Asuka went head to head with an angel and lost, and ties are where she is a default winner simply by virtue of surviving long enough to watch Shinji beat the living shit out of an angel.
