Here is a little about me
Hello my name is Jan (Dutch for John).I am a Wiccan.I live in Epsom, Surrey,UK.As you can see from my website I run my own business  in Aromatherapy;Reiki and Crystal Healing.I enjoy travelling around the UK and abroad,
when not massaging or my other job working in the airline business My hobbies are looking at churches and castles and old ruins around the world.Places of interest that I have been to are Belize in Central America and Mexico (Mayan/Aztec Indians);Greece (Ancient Greek and Roman ruins); UK (Stonehenge in Salisbury;Tintagel and Boscastle in Cornwall;Chester (the old city walls and Roman remains),to name a few.The most recent is Egypt.
What is Wicca; The word Wicca was originally the old English word meaning ' A male Wytch'.A female wytch was 'A Wicce' the craft of witches, or ''witchcraft'' was Wiccecraft.Just as the Old English words Wicca and Wicce evolved into the modern English word ''witchcraft''.The modern English word 'witch' is the correct term for anyone who practices witchcraft,the magickal arts of a witch.  

My Wiccan name is OakMajik which you can get me by, on any of the messengers on website first page.In Wiccan and Pagan religion you can use any mystical name that you like.Names are made up of double barrel words,ie:- Majick Spell; Willow Wand;Crystal Moon; Black Cat;Magical Unicorn;Fairymoon Dust etc.
Some wytches do use single names; ie- Raven; Hex; Willow; Crow; etc.
My birthsign is Pisces
I was born in March 1959
The Pentacle and Pentagram The Pentagram and Pentacle are commonly the most famous symbols of witchcraft and are symbolic of the power of spirit  as overriding power controlling elements.So as the cross is to Christianity and the six pointed star is to Judaism,the pentagram is a symbol of the magickal craft of Witchcraft.The Pentagram is an up-right 5 pointed star drawn inside a circle with a single continuous line making the points equally spaced out.The Pentagram is a symbolic  symbol to a witch or magician  for the mysteries of creation.
The 5 points represent the four elements: Earth;Air;Fire and Water; the fifth representing the spirit (uppermost point).
Earth represented by the lower left hand point of the star= symbolic of stability and physical Endurance
Fire which is represented by the lower right point of the star= is symbolic for courage and daring
Water represented by the upper right point, is symbolic to emotions and intuition
Air is represented by the upper left point and is symbolic to intelligence and artistic
Spirit represents the top of the star and is symbolic to deity the divine and all that is.

The circle around the star represents sacred space,as does the fifth point of the star which is the spirit point of the star controls the four elements.
The four points of the star also co-inside with the compass as the:-
                              Earth = North: Air = East: Fire = South: Water = West:
