My Research Interests
Current Research Interests:
1. CRP SNPs and their haplotypes as the genetic determinants of CRP levels in coronary heart disease.
2. Apolipoprotein Haplotype Relative Risk in Normoglycemic and Diabetic ( non-insulin dependent) Multi-Ethnic Population of Punjab.
3. Profound consequences of Apolipoprotein polymorphism of AI-CIII-AIV gene cluster in coronary heart diseases and concomitant factors like type 2 diabetes, atherosclerosis and osteoporesis .
Allied Research Interests:
1. Effect of genetic and environmental factors vis-a-vis apolipoproteins and their effects on the pathogenesis of coronary heart disease.
2. Structure and functions of the human apolipoproteins: roles of apoE ,apoH,and apoA-I in cholesterol and triglyceride homeostasis and of apoE in coronary heart disease.
3. Role of inflammatory markers in coronary atherogenesis.
