This was a very nice rookie game, with a great turnout. Tina scored for yellow and I believe Rook, Stitches, Miranda, and a rookie (Dorie) scored. The rookie who did score did a hell of a job! All and all the scrums were very high in the beginning but after things got comfy...the scrums got better. Running touch the things I saw were:
Keep scrums low, NO HANDS IN, lower tackles, quicker lineouts, and keep a back line. That may seem like a lot but the games purpose was to find out what our strenghts/weeknesses are...so now we can work on these area!
Wow! What a great day of rugby!!!!! We won both 1/2's againt Lawrence Central by a lot. The first 1/2 of ball state was very hard fought. We lost 7 to 5 thought. It came down to a tight corner kick. The last 1/2 against Ball State was AWSOME!!! Talk about some great rugby...I do believe it ended in a tie. Way to go Purdue on pulling it together!!
In Conclusion: we are really shapping up as a team (last game against ball state proved that). If we keep going hard in practice good things will happen. other notes....tought enough II is this Saturday....get ready for some rugby!!!!!!

What a great day for rugby! The weather was perfect! Everything was great except for the refs but thats another story! Basically Chicago killed everybody! As for Purdue we did win against NIU and played very well against Mizzou. Overall I believe that we played very well throught the day and way to go rookies!!!!
Man what a great game!!!! We played two 25 min halves *well not really* The first try was scored but Purdue (Li or Rook). That try went unanswered till late in the first half. Then Indy came back with 2 trys. After that Purdue Scored again and made the kick (thanks stiches!). After that Indy once again scored. This should have been the end and Indy won...but the ref kept play going and Purdue scored on the last play...hence we won...Hell of a job to every rugger!
As for extra half...we won that as well. Thanks to Indy for playing a 3rd half to give our expansive team playing time! And Li one hell of a way to run!
