This is a life changing personal testimony that shows the delivering power of God. <br>When I was a little boy, being raised in a good Christian home, I knew that the only reason I was created was to serve God and lift up his name. <br>Unfortunately, when I was about 13 years old I started down an unfamiliar and lonely road. This road I traveled for nine years was filled with Drugs, Adultery, Alcohol, Porn, Fast and Loud music,,, the list goes on and on. This path went against everything I was ever taught. During this time, I married when I was 17. Being young and not having any self-control, I had an affair 6 months after we were married. I had a rage of jealousy which made me very controlling.<br>I told my wife what to wear, how much make-up to wear where she could go, who she could go with. I know I must to have made her life a living hell. The confusing thing was, I was the one that was so jealous and controlling yet I was the one being unfaithful to her. That just didn't make sense.<br>I had a temper that nobody could stop. When I got mad I got destructive, kicking holes through doors, picking up kitchen tables and throwing them across the room. I had a violent rage. My drug usage was skyrocketing; I was getting high almost every day at work and usually got drunk before I would ever get home. I never could have just a beer or two, whenever I drank, I drank until I was drunk and I didn't stop till I did. This was getting to be an everyday occasion and without realizing it I was out of control.<br>After a year or so we shared with each other the affairs that took place and in time we worked through it. The trust was shattered and it took some time to get our marriage back together. I was still bound by the lifestyle I had been living.<br>Two years later we had our first child, life at first was looking better. I thought"OK now I have the responsibility of raising a child, teaching him the purpose of life, to honor God and live for him. Maybe I can pull myself together so I can be the example I need to be�, but it didn't take long for me to get back to my old self again. Continuing in that lifestyle, along with life's ups and downs, a couple of years pass. Yielding to temptation again, I committed my second act of adultery. I knew then that I had a serious problem with lust that I could not control when temptations would come my way.<br>Satan has some powerful tools that he uses and he will prey on your worst weaknesses. I knew what I was doing was wrong, I knew I was about to loose my wife, my family, and I realized I had spent the last five years living only to please myself. Though it would seem very obvious (to me) that I was living this way, I didn't realize it till it was almost to late. It hurt deep down that I had betrayed my wife, my family, and everyone else that was close to me. (Why is it that the people that mean the most to you are the ones that you hurt the most?) You have NO CONTROL of your life when your living in sin and the things that you thought you had control of turn out to be addictions that seem to control you. I did not have what I needed most in my life and that was, THE POWER OF GOD that would give me the power to resist temptation. <br>My wife and I separated and during that time I realized I was heading down a path that would ultimately lead to my destruction. What was worse is that I would die without God.�My friend, what that means is an eternal death separated from the presence of God, that the bible describes as [a lake of fire, where there will be weeping and gnashing of teeth, an eternal punishment.] While we were separated, my mind went back to my childhood. I started to remember what I was taught, about the love of God and how he gave his son Jesus to DIE for my sins (thank God for Christian parents that will teach their children about the plan of salvation that God has for our lives.)<br>After searching my heart and remembering a verse in the bible that say's "When you are born again, old things pass away behold everything is new, you are a new creation in Christ Jesus.� I knew what I had to do. After two weeks of soul searching, agony, and tears I went back to my wife and tried to tell her the truth about the affair, but I didn�t felt that if I told her then, there would be no chance for us to stay together. I kept it inside for about a year but during that time (probably three months after we got back together, we decided that GOD was going to be placed first in our lives. We both gave our hearts to God, and asked Jesus to come into our lives and accepted him in our hearts as our Lord and Savior. I threw away everything that was associated with the lifestyle I once lived, movies, magazines, alcohol, and all my music tapes that promoted anything ungodly. When you finally decide to live your life according to the will of God, it�s amazing the change that takes place deep inside your heart.<br>About a year after we got saved I could not keep my lie inside anymore, I was not going anywhere spiritually, mine and my wife's relationship was not growing. I sat her down one night and explained to her the truth about the affair (let me tell you, it was very hard.) She told me she knew all along but she was waiting for me to tell her. I asked for her forgiveness, and told her how sorry I was for not being honest with her. We grasped each others hand and began to pray and ask God to heal the hurt, restore the trust, and lift the burden off of us and instantly God touched our hearts.<br>That has been several years ago and God has delivered me from Drugs, Alcohol, Porn, Anger, and he has sanctified me through the blood of his son Jesus. Now, through him I have the POWER OF GOD which comes from the Holy Spirit to resist temptation.� PRAISE THE LORD�. The only reason why God saved our marriage and touched my life is, he knew where we would be today. It is his will that "none should perish but all have everlasting life�. The relationship now between my wife and I is unlike any other I've ever known. When God is the head of your marriage, there is a door that is opened to you and a relationship that you never knew existed. God�s POWER is AWESOME and life changing. If your life is on a path of destruction, if your marriage is at the point of being extinct, if your life is full of Satan's lies and temptations, you need the POWER OF GOD in your life.<br>God loves you, so much that he sent his son to Die on a cross to save you from your sins, and every drop of blood that fell from his beaten body was for "YOU�. Jesus made a way where there was no way. I know you are ready to start a relationship with Jesus Christ today. Pray this prayer with me...<br>"Dear Jesus, I believe in you. I believe you are the Son of God, that you died for my sins, and that you were buried and rose again as it is written in the Bible. I�m sorry for the things I've done that hurt you. Forgive me for all my sins. Come into my heart, take charge of my life and make me the way you want me to be. With your ever-present help, I renounce all my sinful practices of the past. Cleanse my heart with your precious blood. Write my name in YOUR BOOK OF LIFE.I confess you now as my Lord and Savior. Fill me with your Holy Spirit. Thank you, Jesus! <br>In Jesus name Amen...
