"Hello?" Madison answered her cell phone as she sat in her office working.

"Hey Maddy It's Marie" she sound as if she was gonna cry.

"What's wrong, Marie?" Madison asked, she couldn't believe she was concerned, well actually she could that just sounded better.

"One of my Bride's Maids broke her neck wakeboarding and now i have to Maid of honor" Marie said breaking out in sobs.

"Oh honey i'm sorry" Madison said It did suck.

"Madison, can i ask you a huge favor?" Marie asked hopefully

"Sure" Madison said Please don't ask me to be the maid of honor Madison thought

"Will you be my Maid of honor?" Marie asked.

"Marie, shouldn't you maybe ask one of your closer friends or bride's maids or something like a sister." Madison suggested.

"I can't use my sister,Melissa she's a bride's maid but you're supposed to pick a good friend and Madison you are a good friend. Please?!?!" Marie asked.

"I don't know, this is really special you know and you should definietly pick someone close to you, why not your sister? Melissa" Madison said.

"Madison please, i know this is special and we can be great friends. Please Madison" Marie pleaded. Madison couldn't say no when she heard the tone of her voice.

"Ok" Madison said.

"Oh my gosh, Maddy! Thank you soo soo much! Ok you have to meet my family. Can you come to dinner tonight? All my family is coming over and you need to meet them and plus i have to tell Justin." Marie said.

"umm... Yeah i can tonight. Just tell me where to go and i'll be there" Madison said. Now that she thought about it, being the Maid of honor could have it's benefits.

"Ok well we're all going to my mom's house at 6:30 PM" Marie said and gave Madison the directions.

"Ok i'll see you then" Madison said.

"Thank you so much Maddy you won't regret this" Marie said and hung up. Madison finished at work around 5:30 and she hurried home to get changed.

Madison took a shower and dried her hair. She dressed in Brown leather knee length skirt with a cream colored top, with matching leather boots. She applied little make up and was on her way. She drove with the directions she had taken from Marie. Finally after about 20 minutes of driving she arrived at a big house in a richy neighborhood, her family was obviously rich. She got out of her car, she was right on time. Walking up the steps of the porch she fixed her skirt, then rang the doorbell.

"Hello" A lady said after she opened the door.

"Hi I'm Madison" Madison introduced herself to the lady.

"I'm Whitney, Marie's aunt" Whitney said shaking her hand. "Oh come on it!"

"thank you" Madison said and stepped into the nicely lit room. It smelled warm and homey if that can even be a smell. It gave off a comforting vibe.

"Madison!" Marie said and walked to her and gave her a hug.

"Hey" Madison said shyly.

"Come on you have to meet everyone" Marie said and pulled her toward the other room where everyone was sitting and talking.

"Everyone this is Madison, She's the new Maid of honor" Marie said presenting Madison to everyone in the room."Come on i'll introduce you to everyone!"

"Madison these are my friends Rachel, Tara, Heidi and Sara, they are the bride's maids. Girls this is Madison, she's the Maid of honor" Marie said cheerfully.

"Nice to meet you " Madison said and shook all their hands. Tara seemed mad she was probably the one that was best friends with Marie and didn't get to be the Maid of Honor. They walked on to the next person.

"Madison this is my aunt Janine, Aunt Janine this is Madison" Marie introduced the two.

"Nice to meet you" Madison said. She looked oddly familiar, something about her but she couldn't put her finger on it. Maybe it was she looked a lot like Marie.

"Nice to meet you too, Madison is a very pretty name" Janine said.

"Thank you, Actually Janine is my middle name" Madison said with a smile.

"Oh that's nice" Janine said. She had a motherly vibe when she spoke and a soft warm smile.

"Justin you made it" Marie said as Justin walked over.

"Yeah hey" He said and gave her a kiss.

"Hi" He said to both Madison and Janine.

"Oh Justin this is my aunt Janine and duh you know Madison, Aunt Janine this is Justin my fiancee" Marie said cheerfully.

"Nice to meet you" They both said. Madison was introduced to the rest of Marie's family. For some reason everyone loved her. Marie's mother and father, Isabelle and Patrick adored her, of course Madison wasn't complaining. Soon after dinner was ready and everyone went into the dining room. They sat down and started to eat.

"So Madison we don't know much about you please tell us" Isabelle said cheerfully. Isabelle and Marie were obviously a mother and daughter that got along great.

"Well what would you like to know?" Madison asked nervously.

"What do you do? Are you married? You know stuff like that" Marie said understanding her mother.

"I'm a journalist at Orlando Suntimes, and I am not married" Madison said with a smile.

"Oh wow, do you have a love interest? I'm sorry am I being rude?" Isabelle asked concerened.

"No not at all. Actually no, right now there is no love interest." Madison said.

"But you're so pretty" All the bride's maids said at the same time very surprised.

"Umm Thank you" Madison said blushing. "But beauty isn't always everything, sometimes you just make stupid mistakes"

"Did you make a stupid mistake?" Marie asked quite interested.

"Yeah I did" Madison said.

"What?" Patrick, Marie's father, asked now also curious.

"I would rather not talk about that" She said and glanced at Justin. He just stared at her in silence. No just say it! Justin thought

"Oh that's ok honey don't worry about it" Janine said giving her a warm smile. "we're all glad you're the maid of honor" Then there was a little peep from the other side of the table. It was Tara she obviously wasn't happy but no oned payed any attention to her.

"So Marie did you pick the dresses?" Heidi one of the bride's maid's asked.

"Yeah Madison helped me" Marie said happily. "You guys'll have to go with me to see them"

"Yeah" they all said.

They finished dinner and Marie's family loved Madison. Madison felt relieved. After dinner they talked for a while and Madison went home. She thought of her mistake she had almost mentioned. As much as she wanted Justin back she didn't want to break them up. I'll just let him get married he obviously loves her or else why would he be marrying her? There probably is someone else for me. Madison thought. I can't interfere, He's happy with her. She lay in bed thinking of the horrible thoughts that had once crossed her mind, she felt terrible, but she decided she would let Marie have Justin. There was nothing else she could do about it.
