| The ceremony ended. Everyone threw their hats up in the air! " Hurray!!" everyone shouted. I met my mom outside where she squeezed all the air out of me! She had tears running down her cheeks. "Oh my goodness, my little girl is all grown up!" she said choking up once more. "Hey mom, where's Jake?" I asked looking around for him. "Oh he got caught signing autographs in there." she said pulling out klenex. "Ok, I'm going to go find him. I'll meet you at the car?" I asked waiting for an answer. "Ok sweetheart!" she said giving me anothe bear hug. I watched my mom hurdle through all the crowds, then I turned and fought my way through the crowds back into the building. When I finally got inside I just followed the girl's screams. I pushed my way through them, until I saw them. "Jakey?!" I yelled. He looked up, and finshed signing the autograph. To my surprise the other guys were there. "Hey Bridge!!" He came over and gave me a big hug. (Atleast it wasn't as breath taking as mom's was) All the guys walked up and congratulated me. I was hit with a million questions. "So are you excited about coming on tour with us?" Ashley asked anxiously. "Where are you going to college?" Trevor questioned. "What are you majoring in?" Erik asked. "What are your carreer visions?" Dan asked enthusiastically. Before I got a chance to answer their questions, Trevor had noticed that more people had discovered that they were here. " I think we should go!" He said with a little smile on his face when he relized I had been starng him the entire time. "Oh yeah! Let's scadattle!" Erik said pointing his fingers to the door. As we were walking out, Claire, ofcourse had to get an autograph, but she had an excuse to come over. "Oh Bridge, Congratulations!" she said as she gave me a big hug. "Thank you! You too!" "Hope you have a great summer!" "Thanks, you too Claire!" The guys just stood there, waiting to be asked to sign an autograph. "Oh, if it's not any trouble, can I have an autograph?" she asked sounding helpless. "It's no trouble!" Erik said signing first. When they were all done signing, Claire grabbed Ashley and Trevor's cheeks and kissed them. "Ok, bye Bridge. Call me!" "Ok, bye Claire!" I looked over at the guys. "Shall we go?" I asked my arms. I grabbed two arms, and I felt like I was in the Wizard of OZ. All we needed to do was sing and trot down a yellow brick road. I turned my head to get a last look at my school and my peers. This moment seemed to stand still, and will remain in my mind for the rest of my life. |
