Fine if they don't like me I just won't associate with them. Brooke thought as she walked in the backstage area of the Rose Bowl.

"Riley" Johnny said as he spotted her. Brooke just kept walking.

"RILEY!" He yelled from the other end of the hall. Brooke finally turned around realizing she was being spoken to.

"Oh sorry Johnny I just kind of zoned out" She lied as she walked toward him.

"That's ok come on you can see everything we do before the show." Johnny said motioning her to follow him.

"What time is the show?" Brooke asked.

"Openers go on as 7 PM the guys don't go on til about 8 or 8:30 PM" Johnny explained.

"Oh" She said

"You haven't met all the crew yet so I'll introduce you. Plus you should probably get to know the guys better." Johnny said.

Brooke followed Johnny into a huge room full of people. She was shocked at the amount of people in the small room.

"Riley this is Laura she does hair and make-up and this is Nicole she's the costume designer for this tour." Johnny explained.

"Nice to meet you I'm Riley" Brooke said her fake smile plastered on her face. She shook their hands. They walked on the next group of people.

"This is the security each is incharge of one group member. Mike is Justin's, Dre is JC's, Lonnie is Joey's, Rob is Chris', and Jake is Lance's. They'll be around them typically 24/7" He said.

"Nice to meet you" Brooke said shaking all their hands her fake smile still glued on her face. All five men looked tough although in reality would never hurt a fly unless necisary.

"The rest of the crew just set up and stuff, you can meet them whenever you have time." Johnny said as if they were of unimportance. Brooke nodded and followed hi to where JC, Jillian, Chris, Katie, and Lance were sitting.

"Hey everyone" Johnny said.

"Hi" They all said. Brooke stood there quietly and waved, which was unusual for her. Typically she was loud and out spoken, but she didn't seem to feel comfortable around everyone there. She felt as if everytime she was looked at she was being judged. That she did NOT like.

"So Riley we haven't really gotten to talk, tell us about yourself" JIll said with a smile.

"Um... I'm Riley Star, I'm 28 years old, I'm from California, and I'm an only child." She recited from memory.

"Oh cool where in California" Lance asked.

"Umm... LA" She said no one ever told her which city so she made it up. It was the first one which came to mind. In reality she was from San Diego.

They talked for a couple more minutes. Brooke still wasn't comfortable.

"Riley, I have to talk to the stage crew. Why don't you come with me so you can meet them." Johnny suggested.

"um Ok" Brooke said and stood up.

"I'll see you guys later" Johnny said.

"Bye" Brooke said and followed everyone waved.

"Was it just me or did she seem uncomfortable?" Chris asked.

"Yeah she seemed tense" Katie agreed.

"Well it is her 1st day wouldn't you be nervous?" Lance reasoned.

"Yeah I guess you're right, and Sade and Alexis not talking much probably didn't help either." Jill said.

"Maybe we should talk to her" Katie suggested.

"yeah Like girl talk!" Chris said gayly.

"Zip it Kirkpatrick" Jill silenced him.

"Maybe we'll break her from her shell" Katie said. That night all four of the girls would get together and befriend Riley...
