| �Hello?� He answered groggily. �Jim!� �Brooke, it�s 1:00 AM. What do you want?� Jim asked. �I found� I got� It was on the floor� and� Brooke stumbled. �What is it?� Jim asked as he became concerned. �It was a letter from Devin Marks, only it was to me! And he knows I�m Riley!� Brooke said starting to freak out. She was usually calm but as she spoke of it she started to get concerned. �What did it say?� �That I was a bump in the road, but he would get them and me too� Brooke said. �Ok Brooke I need that letter to have it analyzed. So umm can you take it down to the lobby now?� Jim asked. �Yeah, I�ll go now� Brooke said nervously. �Brooke don�t worry everything is gonna be fine.� �What do you mean?!?! He knows I�m here! What are we gonna do!?!?� Brooke yelled. �You are going to stay there, do your job protecting the guys, and act normal. I�m going to figure something out. Everything is going to be fine.� Jim said convincingly. �Ok, I�m going to go down to the lobby now.� �Ok, I�ll talk to you tomorrow. Try and get some sleep.� Jim said. �Ok bye.� Brooke said and hung up. She picked up the letter and put it lack in the small-decorated envelope. She then walked over to the desk and put the envelope in one of the hotel stationary envelopes. It was 6:15 AM, which normally meant she was half asleep, but she wasn�t. She was wide-awake. She sipped her coffee, looked out the window, and thought. �He Gorgeous!� Chris said sweetly. Brooke jumped 5 feet in the air. �Sorry, I didn�t mean to scare you.� Chris apologized and kissed her cheek. �Oh, I just was kinda staring off into space.� Brooke explained in a fake way and smiled. �Ok� Chris smiled and sat down in the chair next to her. �So� I wonder who the new costume designer is.� Chris thought out loud. �There�s a new costume designer?� Brooke asked confused. �Yeah, Didn�t Johnny tell you?� Chris asked. �No, he didn�t� hmm I wonder why?� Brooke thought. �He probably forgot.� �Yeah� Brooke said still not certain on the whole idea. �Hey guys!� Jill said. �Hi!� Chris and Brooke both said cheerfully. �Have you met the new costume designer?� Jill asked. �No� They both said at the same time and laughed. �You two are too cute! Well anywho� She should be coming in here soon.� �Cool� Chris said. �Yeah, I want to meet her� Brooke said. Her FBI instincts started kicking in. Then Johnny walked in with a tall brunette. �Aww there he is!� Johnny said to the girl as he walked toward them. �This is Chris the final *N SYNC member, his girlfriend and my assistant Riley Star and you know Jill.� �Nice to meet you.� Chris said politely. �Hi!� Brooke said with her best perky act. �Oh yeah this is Heather Carlson.� Johhny said remembering to introduce her. Brooke looked at the girl closely; there was something oddly familiar about her brown eyes. �Nice to meet you too!� Heather said with a bright smile. At the sound of her voice it clicked it Brooke�s head. She stared at her. �Ok well, I have to go. Riley that meeting is in 30 minutes, don�t be late!� Johnny said. Brooke didn�t react she was too busy staring at Heather. �Riley!� Johnny said loudly. �Huh? Oh yeah right 30 minutes. I�ll be there.� Brooke said. Johnny nodded and walked away. �I have to go too. We have an interview in a few minutes.� Chris said. �It was nice meeting you� Chris said to Heather then turned to Brooke. �Bye� He said and kissed her. �Bye� She said after the kiss. �See ya Jill!� Chris said and walked away. �Have you eaten?� Jill asked. �Yeah� Brooke answered. �Not you! Her!� Jill said in a �duh� tone. �Oh right.� Brooke giggled. �Yeah, thanks anyway though.� Heather answered. Just then someone�s cell phone rang. It was Jill�s and she was off to tend to JC. Once Jill was gone Brooke could speak to Heather. �Sit down.� Brooke said nicely to Heather. Heather gladly sat down. �Lisa, I can tell it�s you.� Brooke whispered. �Good! Because if not I was gonna think you�re a sucky friend!� Lisa said relieved. �Why are you here?� Brooke asked. �To save your ass!� �Jeez, Jim must think I can�t do anything right.� Brooke breathed out. �Yep!� �Gee thanks! I feel good!� Brooke said sarcastically. �He could have atleast told me!� Brooke said. �Yeah. You should have seen your face when you realized it was me!� Lisa laughed. �Yeah, dude, you got a good name! And your hair and your eyes are brown! No longer blue eyed blondie!� Brooke exclaimed. �Yeah, I know.� Lisa smiled. �Ok so we can�t all of a sudden be friends because they might get suspicious.� Brooke reminded. �Yeah I know.� Lisa said. Brooke looked down at her watch. �I have to go to a meeting. Have fun meeting and getting to know everyone.� Brooke grinned and walked away |
