| Points of Authority Chapter 11 |
| "Hello?" Brooke answered groggily she had just woken up by the violent beeping of her phone. "Bryant! There was nothing waiting for me in the lobby!" Moor yelled. Brooke's eyes popped open. "I know I didn't get a chance to take it." "Well what were you doing which prevented you from doing so?" Moor asked. "They invited me to dinner. I couldn't say no" Brooke explained. "Well take it now then!" Jim said. "It's 3:00 AM!" "So! There are people there." "fine" Brooke said and hung up. She pulled on some slippers and hurried down to the lobby. She gave the guy the note in a separate envelope then went back to sleep. -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- "Hey B, It's me Cassy, I was just calling to say 'Hi', uh call me back cuz I don't think you're going to the cementary. I know you're busy but call me anyway. Ok bye." That was the only message on her voicemail. Brooke wanted to call her sister but she didn't have the courage. It had been 6 years since she lost her parents, every year they went to the cementary. Now she was undercover and perhaps it wouldn't not be possible. Then her annoying cell phone rang. "Hello?" Brooke answered. "Bryant?" "Yeah" She said and tiredly sat down. "Oh you sound different. Anyway everyone is here. We need to talk to you. There is a warehouse thing down the street from the hotel. Can you get away for a while?" "Yeah. Is now ok?" Brooke asked. It was dark & everyone was in their rooms. "Ok we'll see ya." Moor said. Brooke put on a sweater and walked to the warehouse thingy. She knocked on the door and Lisa opened it. Brooke immediately hugged her. "Hey Bryant. Have a seat." Moor said. Brooke sat down and turned to look at everyone. "So what did you need to talk to me about?" Brooke asked. She looked around the room and spotted someone... Johnny. "Wait Johnny knows?!?" "Well he is their manager. He kind of needs to know these things." Moor explained. Johnny just smiled. "Right... So what's up?" "Brooke. You ain't findin' anything." Moor said frankly. "No! that's not true! I found that letter! Remember!" Brooke defended. "Yeah well the letter is one thing and you've been here for like 2 weeks almost." Moor said. "Yeah well it's hard when you don't know these people!" Brooke reasoned. "Exactly! That's why we're putting a camera on you and there will be a van following everywhere you guys go, but just a camera no microphone those can get messy." Moor said. "So what? You're glueing a camcorder to my head?" Everyone laughed. "No, It's a tiny pin camera." "Ok when do I get it?" Brooke asked. "Now" He handed her a tiny pin that said 'World Peace' "World peace?" Brooke asked. "You can say you were in a pageant or something" Lisa suggested. "Oh yeah right" She said sarcastically. "If you ask me Riley seems like she has been in a pageant. And i don't think the guys would think twice about it." Johnny put in. "Fine. Anything else?" Brooke asked. "No" "Can i go then?" Brooke asked. "If you wish." Jim said. Brooke got up and started to walk away. "Brooke." Jim said. She turned around. " you're gonna wear it right?" "I will do whatever you ask me to Yoda." Brooke saod. "Good" Jim said. Brooke turned around and went back to the hotel. -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Brooke awoke the next morning took a shower, dressed again in another cute outfit, and pinned on the tiny camera. She walked to the breakfast room grabbed a bagel and saw Johnny sitting by himself. She walked over to him and sat down. "Did you know the whole time?" Brooke asked. "Yes" Johnny said nonchalantly. "And you didn't say anything?" Brooke asked. "No" "oh... gee" Brooke said. "No one else knows so don't worry about it." "I figured that. Where are we going after this?" Brooke asked. "Venue. I'm gonna have you look at somemore fan mail." Johnny explained. "Ok" -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Brooke came across something with no return address she opened it. it read: You must miss me, for I miss you. I'll see you soon, but remember I can always see you. Love, Me -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- |
