Matarael is in the form of a giant spider. Its attack is acid and uses this to harm the Evas. All three Evangelions are sent to destroy this Angel and Asuka's plan to defeat it works.
Angel # 10 - Sahaqiel (Angel of the sky)
This Angel arrived from outerspace and its aim is NERV Headquarters. The evas had to catch it before it fell on earth and self destructed.
Angel # 11 - Ireul (Angel of Fear)
Ireul was composed of millions of miniature computers and create an A.T Field. Ritsuko managed to programe it to self destruct before it attempted to take over NERV's computer systems.
Angel # 12 - Leliel (Angel of the night)
The shadow formed by a giant ball is the actual Angel, Leliel. The shadow absorbs things into a different universe called 'Sea of Durac'. This Angel managed to absorb Shinji and Unit-01, but Shinji managed to destroy the Angel from the inside.
Angel # 13 - Bardiel (Angel of Hail)
During a standard synch ratio test, the black painted
Unit-03 was taken over by an Angel. This Angel damaged both 00 and 02. Shinji was the pilot sent to battle the Angel but refused because there was a human still inside. Gendo Ikari had no choice but to activate the Dummy-plug system against Bardiel. Unit-01 instantly killed Bardiel and there was nothing Shinji could do. Shinji then found out that the pilot of Unit-03 was Toji Suzuhara, who barely survived the encounter.
Angel # 14 - Zeruel (Angel of Might)
Zeruel's arms are like small pieces of paper, these can chop even the EVAs into small pieces. Severe damage was done to Units 00 and 02. Unit 01 finally manages to destroy it.
Angel # 15 - Arael (Angel of birds)
Arael hovers just above the Earths atmosphere out of NERV's range to destroy it. Asuka launches an attack but the Angel infiltrates her mind, and Asuka's horrible memories that she had hidden, where brought up again. Rei retrieves the lance of Longinus from Central Dogma and attacks the Angel unexpectedly, killing it.
Angel # 16 - Armisael (Angel of the womb)
This Angel has the appearance of a line. Rei was the only one who knew about this Angel and was immediately attacked. The Angel tried to merge with the EVA. When Shinji arrived to help, Armisael used its other end to attack Shinji. Rei self destructed destroying the Angel.
Angel # 17 - Tabris/Kaworu Nagisa (Angel of Alternatives)
Kaworu was the 17th and last Angel sent from SEELE. This was unknown and Kaworu was to be the 5th Child. He used a technique to control EVA Unit 02 and headed down to Central Dogma to meet Adam - the forst Angel that caused the Second Impact. When he got there he realised that the second Angel; Lilith was the one kept by NERV. Shinji with Unit-01 arrived, Kaworu surrendered and sacrificed himself to Unit-01 out of love for Shinji. This was the last of the Angels.
