My Tour of the PEZ Factory in Traun, Austria |

|
My tour of the PEZ factory in early May 2001 came at the end of the semester that I spent studying in Germany, and was it ever a grand finale! It was made possible by Silvia Biermayr and Gerhard Trebbin. I would like to thank them both very much. Vielen Dank Silvia und Gerhard! |

The PEZ silo (left), which stores tons and tons of sugar, is the first sign of the PEZ factory that you can spy in the distance as you are approaching by car. |

When you finally reach the factory, you are greeted by the lovely PEZ lady (left) offering you some delicious PEZ from her red regular.

The poster above is in the background of the picture to the left. It was only used in a candy show, so it's definitely a unique item! |

This is in the main office of PEZ, Inc. WOW! |

Clockwise from left: me, Silvia, Philipp and Gerhard. This giant PEZ is also in the front office. As we were waiting in there, a young man came in with rough versions of the Pokemon header card and was showing them to a PEZ employee right on top of the glass case on the left!!! |
