According to Merriam-Webster's Dictionary, "religion" is the "worship of God"; or, in another context, "set religious attitudes, beliefs, and practices." In both cases they are referring to somethiing that can't truly be stated in words at all; something that has no structure to it; something that should not really even be a conscious action and making it to be about a specific belief. The capital "G" in God and the word "set" in the latter context both support this.

People who follow a specific religion are subjecting themselves to hypocrisy; they don't want people telling them what to believe in, yet somehow they see fit to tell others what to believe with their preaching and their missionaries. Also, the "good little Christian boys and girls" are two-faced. There are so many "Christians" having sex, doing drugs, stealing, etc., yet they can "take it to God" and be "washed of their sins." They are just kidding themselves and it is very pathetic.

Let us get back to the idea of a missionary. Missionaries are the people that are out on a religious mission. A mission is a duty. These are the people that feel it is their "duty" to spread the word of God so that others can have the "joy" of religion in their life. Let us put this in more reasonable terms; things seem much easier to follow when they are spelled out in black and white. In other words, a missionary is someone who travels to underdeveloped countries, usually Africa, but other poor countries around the world do apply, and tell these helpless people living in poverty that if they accept God into their lives then they do not have to worry; their suffering will end. Missionaries usually will argue that they are simply giving these people the facts and letting them see one of the options they can take. Well DUH! Think about it. Now, if I were one of those, I would believe it in an instant.

If I were told that all I had to do was believe and my suffering would end, how could I NOT believe? This is a false hope. They will probably die by the age of 30, if they are lucky enough to live that long, all alone after living through a life of hell. But hey, what would the missionaries care about all that? They did their "duty"; There were more Christians in the world because of them. Whoopty doo! Good for you guys. I'm glad you're happy. Hate to tell you, but I could probably get a little group together, go over to an undeducated country like that, and as long as I kept my story straight, I could probably be convincing enough to gain followers to a religion that I sat down and made up right now.

People need to believe in order to live life without fear of what's going to happen when they die, but if people could only focus on today, things could be so much better.

Most religious followers are so intolerable of those who drink beer regularly. Keep in mind that those "drinkers" have a better sense of reality than those religious followers; they can see how things are and they know what the world is not perfect. Believing lies is not going to make life better; they will only give a false sense of hope.

Nobody's ever killed someone over his or her brand of beer. What about all the religious wars that have gone on continuously for hundreds of years? People drink beer for this very instant, not for a fear conspiracy created after life.

Screw religion. Grab a beer. Peace will come.
