I am a Christian girl living in the West Bank, Palestine and I have been living in the current Intifada since September. I have seen a lot of friends die due to the troubles, I've seen my house and others be attacked by tanks, helicopters, etc. And I'm scared. I'm scared that I finally know what it means to hate and scared that I am actually questioning God's role in all of this. Please help.

Let me first say God bless you. I just knew that I was going to get a question from your area of the world asking why things were happening like they are. I feel for you so much, it brings me to tears. I want to tell you to be strong. I feel so bad sometimes about how easy we really have it here in the US, especially how easy it is to take that for granted. I have found that my faith is the strongest when it is being tested and challenged. I know you are going through a terrible, terrible time, but I must encourage you to remain strong. There has never been a more important time because I believe that Jesus is returning soon.

My response to you is that I truly believe that we are living in the end times of the world, a time of rapid fulfillment of Biblical prophecy. I've been struggling with how I was going to deal with your question, scared that I couldn't provide an adequate answer. I still can't, but I believe God has provided us a resource that can support this. Please visit Endtime.com, and click on the link for 04-19-01. It is an hour-long radio program discussing the proofs that we are living in the end times right now. You will need to have Realplayer installed on your computer to listen to it. If you don't have it, you can download it here http://www.realplayer.com. I encourage you to listen to it.

My heart goes out to you. Please remain strong, there is nothing more important than your faith in Jesus Christ. I love you because God loves you, as He loves all people. Again, God bless you. You're in my prayers.
