Why do Christian such as yourself come into a punk sence, a sence know for Sex,Drugs and Rock'n Roll and try to chnage it? Can you not find or make your own type of Music? When punk started back in the 70's it was to be about Unity and that's part of the reason they where against Religion. Becuase people of different Religion aways fight with each other. Becuase it cuase's hate, like the hate alot of Christians feel for the Jews. Second it was about anti trends and corperations that cuase coruption. Witch you guys are a big part of. You sell your Religion on shirts and with neckless's, you use it not as a Religion anymore but as a way to make money. Do you think you god wanted you to make money off of him for any reason? I don't think so. So before you go around trying to change anymore of the punk sence go make your own kind of music to convert poeple. |

Let me clarify some things for you. We did not "come into a punk sense," as you put it, we were already there, as were most of the Christian punk bands that you hear today. It's not a matter of trying to lure people in. It's a matter of playing music with the sound you like. In this case, the style of music happens to be punk. And a question I have is this: what are we, or the bands we like, trying to change about punk? The answer: nothing. You ask if we can't find or make our own kind of music. Why should we? Newer bands like Teen Idols, New Found Glory, Anti-Flag, etc. are just capitalizing off of what was set up back in the seventies, so why shouldn't we, too, be able to do that if that's the kind of music we like? Another question for you. Where's the hatred on my web page? Please tell me so I can remove it. My site is not about hate but about love. It's about the love that God feels for all people which is why He sent His only son Jesus to die on a cross for our sins. So where's the hatred? I don't hate anyone. A person could be an ax-murdering rapist, and I'd still love them as God loves them. You say we're a big part of trends and corporations, and corruption. What's so trendy about punkrawkbible? Where are the corporate ties? The ad pop-ups? I can't help those. It's the price to pay for having my site hosted there for free. What money are we making off the site? Not a dime. We don't even ask for donations. Where's the corruption? I'm not corrupt in any way, so far as I can tell. Neither is Kristen. Lastly, you mentioned that we make money off of T-shirts and necklaces and whatever. I don't make any money off of T-shirts or the like. Punk bands do. Other Christians do, and good for them. I tell you, though, I only like the shirts and stuff that are original. I can't stand it when I see play-offs of popular stuff--that just bugs me. What is wrong with Christians making money off of T-shirts, anyway? I serve a God that provides out of the abundance of His riches and glory. He wants His servants to prosper. Why wouldn't He? |
