My boyfriend's mom said that since the two of us have gone too far,
we can't go back--even though we both feel really bad about it.
Is she right?

It's always such a blessing to be able to help other people out. Unfortunately, I don't know how much help I can be to you. I prefer to have scriptures to back up everything I say, but I just can't find any that really deal specifically with your situation. I can only go by my own personal experiences and, as such, I can only tell you that I've never been able to go backwards--no matter how guilty I've felt. I've also seen it with other people who, in my opinion, are stronger Christians than myself.

Think about this, too. Your boyfriend's mom already told you the same thing that I just did. Where do you think she got her ideas from? I wish I could be more help to you, but I really can't. I will recommend a book for you to check out, though. The title is, "I Kissed Dating Goodbye," written by Joshua Harris.

I'll tell you right now, I could be wrong. You may be strong enough not to go too far again. I can't say for sure because I don't know you personally. It's a shame, but things like this almost always work out the same. I wish I could be more help.
