ZYKHEE

This list came into being in a bit of a roundabout way. I play Vor: the Maelstrom in addition to HotT, and shortly before FASA closed its doors, I had ordered a substantial number of "Pharon" figures from New Wave Entertainment to go with the new army book. Now, strangely enough, in the two and a half months that I have been waiting for my figures, I have become increasingly interested in HotT, and startng to wonder what to do with all these figures that were due to arrive in some future time. And then I thought "Aha! A Pharon HotT army!" But sadly, the Pharon weren't really well suited for traditional HotT, being uber-high-tech aliens who are also undead. But somewhere in the Vor game was a race of aliens who relished spear fighting and disdained high technology... the Zykhee, which were also my first Vor army. Now, the Zykhee are tall, blue humanoids, about 9 feet tall, with an extra elbow on each arm and a very flexible skeleton. Their society is broken into a broad variety of warrior and mystic castes, almost all of which have a unique method of hand-to-hand combat. The Zykhee are locked in a genocidal struggle against the Growlers to re-take their homeworld. Stronghold: strange alien temple with glowing green flames.

DESIGN PHILOSOPHY

This list will not go into great detail about all the different Zykhee castes, as this is mostly for people who have previous knowledge of the tall skinny guys; it also violates some of the troop type descriptions: it only makes sense that some Zykhee infantry follow the mounted rules and Wardyns ARE best represented by Beasts. Suffice to say that this is a pretty generic Zykhee list, and whole armies could be fielded of Just Ra'gha, or Ka'char, or Divaak. But that would be boring. I fielded the Mystic as a Sneaker instead of a Magician or Cleric because they seem to suddenly show and bushwack something inportant, rather than being long range artillery or defensive against such.

BATTLES

None so far, nor do I expect there to be. I do NOT want to re-base an existing army from a a game I stil play. I did this list purely for the fun of it!
