Remorse
Aaron McLarnan

The biggest mistake I'd ever made,
was smiling at you on that autumn day.
One simple smile had changed my world,
I don't think I was ready for such a girl.
Such a girl as you wou would run my mind,
torture and tease me, leave me behind.
Like no other, you're a different being.
You hid in the shadows, planned on not being seen.
Until one day, I'd found the light.
Shining on you, you're finally in sight.
At that time, I saw what was wrong,
I'd been mislead all along.
But the light that shined on me from the sky,
had removed the scales from my eyes.
I was stock, helplessly on an empty course.
And now I feel nothing but guilt and remorse.
