Hey everybody!  Well, I got kind of bored and after being told by someone that I was a JerkFace I decided to update my webpage with a bio that I should have included from the start.  Well, here it goes .........

The Land
I have grown up most of my life around rual farming land and if you ask me it sucks.  The community I grew up in is called Cantua Creek, located in the Fresno County.  If your having trouble picturing my home town let me give you a little hand.  Picture this, miles and miles of flat terrain surrounding your every direction.  You view, at a distance of three quarter of a mile a cotten gin to the east and at about several miles your view a near by town, which is the actual location of Cantua Creek. You see the town I live in is located several miles off to the west and is acually know as Halfway.  Known as Halfway by many because of the store located across the only street we have, which is called Derrick, Highway 33 located off Interstate 5  Well, back to the mile of flat land.  Standing with a clear view of the perfect straight horizon your eyes fall upon plant life.  This plant life is what the Fresno County and Cantua Creek area is known for.  Mostly what I have seen grown around my area are tomatoes (damn tomatoe machines keeping me up at night) cotten, grapes, melons, watermelons, onions, garlic, lettuce, cabage, and so on.....  These is what is view from looking upon the land at a closer inspection of the land.  Quite boring description of the land, right?  Well, there are stories to accompany this surroundings and I will start by introducing my family.

My Family

My name Sergio Herrera.  I am the son of two hard working Mexican parents.  Parents who's eyes sprakle with the success of their children.  Yes I said children, meaning there is more than just me.  My parents names Jose and Maria Herrera, both born in the beautiful state of Guanajuato, Mexico.  A state I will describe at a furture time.  Both my parents have worked the land in which I described above.  My mother has moved on to better working conditions in a tomatoe factory, but my father continues to work the farming land.  Both parents have worked hard and continue to do so.  Despite the problems, whice are many, by parent have stuck together for the children and I love them for that.  It has shown me not to quite.  Well, okay now for the other member of the family.  There is the oldest his name, Jorge then the middle bother Reyes, Jr. and then me the youngest of three.  If you haven't noticed by the names we are all boys and I think that sucks for my mother, but I have always been the one to be with her.  You could say that I was a mamas boy (whateve that means), but I viewed my mother as my best friend.  Well, back to the bothers. Jorge the oldest at age 23 is employed in a box factory.  Yep, they exist.  He currently has a girlfriend with whom he lives with.  Together they have a child, my nephew, Johnathan.  He will be one year old this month, May 26 , 2002.  Dispite the troubles my brother has encountered I hold respect for him many because through his mistakes I have learned.  Okay, now my other bother.  The one in the middle Reyes's Jr. or was we knew him for a while nono (prononce with accents on the n's)  You know people say that the middle bother is always the one that gets screwed in life, but I believe the contrary.  I hold the highest respect for my middle brother.  He has shown me so much of life and the is the one that gave me the a simpler phrase to that of "Fuck it," which is, "who cares [what they think]."  This is a phrase I have grown up for some time now.  For this and many more reason I have grown to admire my brother, mainly for his intellegence.  That's it for now about my family there are plenty of stories with mi familia and of course you will hear about them later.

The Present
Currently I live in Santa Cruz, California, where I attend the University of California Santa Cruz (UCSC).  The city is quite nice, but rather boring.  Not much to do considering a serva was conducted that pronounced it the 3rd biggest party school in the nation.  What a crock! Well my major that UCSC is Film and Digital Media, but I have yet a class to take in the department until next quarter, Fall. Well that's all for now........got to go..........PaZ.......
