El Duce - THE MENTORS
Hit man for the grunge community or railtrack inspector?

Eldon Hoke , a.k.a. 'El Duce' pictured here in 1984 was lead singer of scary US punk band
the Mentors. He made GG Allen look tame. They endorsed sexually violent lyrics which gained the band some notoriety in the mid-80's. They became one of Tipper Gore's big enemies during her infamous PMRC campaign, which successfully brought about warning labels to parents on record albums. The often homeless El Duce, whose wildest boast was that Courtney Love had asked him to kill Kurt Cobain, finally ended his mad drunken life under a train.
